We don't necessarily drive everywhere in America, (most people in San Fran and NYC for example do a LOT of walking) so I guess the lesson here is that flipflops are not walking shoes. (^_^;) I'm enjoying your videos a lot, but not the comments. Not sure what's worse, the ignorant ones or people with asian fetish. but thank you for sharing your vids despite it at.

I have some solutions for you, Jade:

1)Wear Teva sandals like somebody else said

2)Wear Birkenstocks instead (these are supposed to be orthopedic-style shoes that are healthful and helpful for your feet, and won't make them hurt

3)Alternate between wearing sandals and other types of shoes (i.e., slipper-type shoes, ordinary shoes-but owing to the heat where you went in Asia-WITHOUT socks.

4)Wear Doc Martens-as mentioned above they're orthopedic, and will be good for you feet when you walk.

It depends on where in Asia you go and what you're using for transport. I noticed that yes, in Hong Kong, I walked a lot. In Taiwan - I'm local so I get around by scooter and don't usually have to walk all that much. The same can be said for other regions though. It all depends on where you go, and how you get around.
