Bicycle is traffic and has priority over a car.

@rmrmr The Critical Mass Movement was not created with the aim of annoying people and slowing down traffic. It is a way to urge authorities to create a better infra-structure for bikers and drivers.

It is dangerous to use a “moral standpoint” (and not the law) to justify human behaviour in traffic. That would give people all the reasons in the world to behave aggressively towards drivers, since they are the ones who really annoy, pollute and generate chaos in a city.

that's right someone blocks traffic so it gives the motorists the right to harm/potentially kill cyclist.

If a cyclist rides like an idiot near a car, he will end up injured or dead, if a motorist drives like an idiot near cyclist the cyclist will end up injured or dead.

Motorist are only in danger from other motorists not cyclist. They need to learn to be patient or they will look to be facing a prison sentence for injuring/killing a cyclist.

Everyone who climbs the social ladder and reaches a position of authority runs the risk of getting power drunk and losing his humanity (without being aware of it). I have no doubt that the driver is pretty sure that he is above the law. He has money, good lawyers and influence. I wouldn’t be surprised if (at the end of the trial) the bikers get blamed for what happened. I'm really sad to have to say this about my own country, but it's true.
