  • God can use whom ever he pleases. Even a black man playing a harp. The half has not been told. God has many folks doing his will.

  • best song ever

  • I am so sorry for such a great lost I remember I served him and his wife when I was working at Uno's a few years ago at the Capital Blvd in Landover Md , I remember meeting two wonderful people and that is something that I will never forget , my prayers and heart goes out to you all

  • im so sorry! God bless your family!!!

I am so blessed by his renditio of this mighty song!

i would love to have this on my ipod

i have the original from the harpist!

I love Don's voice in this! God is good we will see him at the RESSURECTION!

  • i'm crying......his voice...omg..

  • My husband grew up with Don Jones and knows his entire family. His only comment: What a waste it was to kill someone with so much talent and how far he had come and accomplished from the neighborhood of 3rd Street N.E., D.C.

  • Thank you for posting this video, brandilynn. What a terrible tragedy and horrible loss for Don Jones' family. It is particularly haunting that he is singing the 23rd psalm. The song is beautiful (I will have to learn more about Jeff Majors), and his voice, indeed, incredible.

  • I stumbled across this song of Jeff Majors and Don Jones; it is a wonderful version of the Psalm 23. I am so sad to read that this precious soul was taken from this earth by murder; but not suprised as the enemy is here to steal, kill and destroy using whom ever he will. I pray that Bro. Don is with the Lord whom he sings about and that the person who did this act is arrested by the Lord so he can repent and be saved to do only good and not evil.

  • I will miss my uncle dearly. I'm reminded of him everyday I look in the mirror.

  • I attended Don's Funeral yesterday. It was great seeing that he had so much support and he was truly loved. HIs mother Rev. Best was awsome. To do the eulogy at your own son's funeral has to take much strength. She preached the devil straight back to hell. I was glad to see that Jeff Majors made it as well.

  • I had the privilege of working with Don for nearly three years. He was one of a kind and I am devastated over his loss. Not only was he a stellar performer, he was an exceptional clinician and advocate for our youth.

  • What a shock to learn that this wonderful singer was murdered! RIP Brother Jones. You were a gem on this earth! This performance has been such a blessing to me countless times - when as a tenor myself, I'd felt like giving up. I know you are now beholding the face of King Jesus. May the Good Lord comfort your family and loved ones in Jesus Name.

  • GOD rest your soul DON !!! You will be missed immensely. It seems so surreal that you are no longer with us, but we have this to remind us of how truly gifted and blessed you were....... Bravo Don !!!!

  • It is my understanding that Jeff Majors performed this very song on Opray with Don Jones. Does anyone know date of the show or link?

  • I am so very sad and dishearten with the world right now over Mr. Don Jones death in the DC park on Tuesday. He was an exceptional social worker as well as an awesome singer who will be missed by all that knew him. His funeral is 6/16/10 @ St. Stephens Baptist Church, Temple Hills, MD. This song is so befitting as only he could deliver and I know he is leading GODS chorus of angels right now, RIP Mr. Jones.

  • I'll miss you Don.

  • Sing it, Don! We will miss your lovely spirit.

  • I was blessed to have Don as a part of my extended family. He sung at my wedding and my 2 sister's wedding. I will definitely miss his laugh and sense of humor.

  • Both the singer and the Harp player are very good friends of mine. Don I will miss you greatly. Your heart was an example to the world. R.I.P. my friend. N.E. D.C. Stand up.

  • GOD BLESS!!!!! R.I.P.

  • The man singing, Don Jones, left this earth on Tuesday, 06/08/2010. One of his family members found this video and it brought them a bit of joy.

Please keep his family in your thoughts.

  • @brandilynn Certainly prayers go up to his beautiful wife Charita and their entire family. Are there any new developments on the perpretrator? So, so sad indeed.

  • Awesome. It never ceases 2 reduce me 2 tears. Earbuds, eyes closed and I'm there. If you think this is good, listen to the other one that is 8:24 min.

Nothing and nobody can keep God from loving us. We can't do anything or b anything that will stop His love because God Is Love. Give your life 2 Him and find a bible teaching church 2 help u stay with it. Write me here if u need encouraging. I have an inspirational website.

  • How I purchase this? Everywhere I go and look online they say it was a limited edition. It is no longer for sale. Please let me know.

  • The song is very nice. And @ divaholy I'm a fornicator. Slept with many men's wives, some women that were evanglist, & women that were church goers. I've been with women that guys had asked me what my opinion on what to do, to help fix their releationships. To admitt who you are & try to walk right, is bigger than those that aren't walking right, like myself. I'm comming back to God, & sex isn't going to carry me to hell. Keep praying, I respect your post, bless you to sister.

  • Where can I get this? It is amazing!!!!

  • @jacquesesmith the song is psalm 23

  • This is so beautiful! I heard this song on oprah! and even though i was smoking alot of pot everynight i would listen to this song everynight and cry out to GOD to save mE! And He is working in my life! IM gay and God is working on me! He is mighty over all sin!

  • God does not abandon no one. Gay or straight. Murder or Saint. Just keep calling on him to help you let go of the pain and abuse from the past. Then it will lead to changes of the "now." With God anything is possible. God bless you.

  • YES YES YES thanku for the encouragement! God is showing me what a GOD HE IS! words are weak to convey HIS Love and Mercy and the POWER! o i hope for the NOW!

  • Be encouraged and keep calling out to the lord. Jesus died that EVERYONE might have a chance at eternal life. Also I want to recommend a book to you. The book is entitled "The Gospel Of Inclusion" by Bishop Carlton Pearson. The book is highly controversial, but I believe it contains the truth of Jesus' mission in dying for the sin of the world. Yes, he died for gay people too.

  • anyone who thinks that this brother can't sing doesn't know music. this bro can sang and that bro can play that harp.

  • @smartpharoah totally agreed

  • I this version was amazing. My cousin, Don Deago Jones was the vocalist singing. I am so proud of him.

  • Why didn't "Al Johnson" sing Psalms 23!! he is the voice that sings in your soul from the album (SACRED),Psalms 23. Where was AL Johnson?

  • Who is Al Johnson and why is he so important to these proceedings?

  • This is gorgeous....wow. I saw him do this on C-Span's Memorial Day coverage last year. I was half asleep and thought I was dreaming when I heard a glorious harp and melody coming from the TV, C-Span at that. lol

That singer has some pipes, for sure. I sure hope he records this version SOON!!! The one on his CD has nothing on this!
