  • The Bell

  • unbelievable composition, great talent

  • great song Mike is a genius

  • rien de mieux aprés 1 bonne journée

  • pure music..

left hand percussion guy looks like he would make a party

  • this music can make me cry

    it's so beautifull

this man is touched by grace

  • It's great!!

  • Simply the best!

  • around 35 years old? This is a real classic.Uplifting mentally and emotionally!

  • V ...glockenschhhpielle V

  • Don't these professionals ever hit a wrong note!!!? Superb music.

  • this piece of mike's music it totally ascendant! it takes me away every time i hear it.

  • Epic, in my opinion, one of the greatest musicians every playing his greatest song.

    Could it get any better??

  • Outstanding!!!

  • AND JUST WHEN YOU THINK IT CAN'T GET ANY BETTER.........he pulls out his guitar! The sound he gets from that acoustic is just exquisite. AMAZING. THE MAN IS THE MOZART OF OUR TIME....quite the genius and very underrated. I'd love to see him collaborate with Peter Gabriel....but I'm not sure the world is ready for that! Again, many thanks for sharing this. I can't find it on CD...does anyone know what this part of the piece is called? Or what CD it's on? I would be eternally in your debt.

  • it's on Tubular Bells II, i think..

  • its on a flip sided dvd with tubler bell 3

live in london, this concert was in Edinborough

  • I've always thought of this part as "building the onion" because of the wonderful way he adds layer of instrument upon instrument all playing the same basic melody. The thing one must remember when listening to this piece is that HE WROTE ALL THE PARTS. THAT'S GENIUS. I stumbled across this concert Live in Edinburgh one evening on public television....it still moves me to tears. THANK YOU THANK YOU TO WHOEVER POSTED THIS!

  • good eye!

  • at 1:40 theres a guy hiding round the side of the mixing deck. trying to be aviod by the camera

  • at 2:55 theres a chap called mike oldfield playing guitar...

sorry, thought we were stating the obvious.

  • A truly fascinating orchestra

  • Excellent! even better than the recorded version

  • Which song is this? :P

  • this is from tubular bell II with title "the bell"

  • yup, one of the best songs on the album

  • the song is called the bell

  • slightly louder audio than another version....

this is tubular bells TWO, though. : )

  • en 1973 aparecio tubular bells casi sin querer, triunfó a lo grande a pesar del caracter instrumental de la obra con un comienzo repetitivo tb2 y tb3 solo son secuelas del mito

  • i was there

  • 7 min. 16 sec., like my membership-number in the world brotherhood union : 716.

  • Tubular bells 2 .. Edinborough.. Majestic concert. The soul of Scotland. The Scots can't honour Mike enough for his achievement.

  • from Andalusia with love. Mike you are the best

  • I was at this gig - absolutely brilliant to see it here. It still ranks in my top 3 gigs of all time. The most memorable part of the gig was Tattoo - it starts off with some cheesy synth bagpipes and you feel let down, but at the back of the stage, pipers have come on and then they strike up - true hairs on the back of the neck moment! Get it on DVD - you will not be disappointed!

  • I guess that, Mike got this motto:

If there is a easy way to do things, then dont't do it and yes, i like perfection, the Oldfield way.

  • Nice to see that again. Germany indeed! Edinburgh Castle it was and what a fantastic venue. I have a tape of it when it was broadcast, complete with a complete of mistakes which made it all the better. Perfection is sooooo boring! Mike should forgot the "blond bombshell" bit and go back to being brown haired. He looks great witg brown hair.

  • Help-what's title of this song?

  • Mike Oldfield - The Bell

  • desde españa con el mayor cariño... mike the best

  • His music is always beautiful. Thank you, Mike...

  • Germany 1992

  • Not bad,

    Clark

  • I'm speechless... Concerts of Mike Oldfield are always awesome.

  • fan tastic

  • mike the best!!!!

  • Great concert. I saw it in Brussels. The talking guy spoils the track quite a bit, imo.

  • Hey, tell me when Mike was coming in Brussels ??

  • 29 March 1993 at Forest National. ;)

  • Oldfield is the best!!!

  • fantastic and live too!!thank you so much for posting a part of one of my all time favorite albums .

  • Mike Oldfield Rules!

  • tb 1 is still the best version.TB 3 he must ave been on drugs!

  • Bellissimo!

  • Yeah! Fantastic Live! Mike is God

  • What a tune, much better than the original.

  • Excellent!!!

  • Einfach Nur Geil!
