I know Polaris comes from Miracle Legion, but if you want an album of Miracle Legion that sounds most like Polaris, try Drenched. They could have slapped the Polaris title on it and no one would have known. There is a minimal difference between Miracle Legion and Polaris. Miracle Legion has a more folk sound and Polaris is more alternative. Great music.

In any case, the song is based on a fringe, false belief which has no legitimate reason for existing. You could read the Bible a million times and a million ways and never get anything the song talks about from that.

Polaris is actually miracle legion who do occasionally tour I have know this way before I was told by anyone on this.

But Polaris was original, the creators of Pete & Pete wanted to use Pixies music but since they saw how expensive it was, They decide (dont know how) to try with

this Mark Mulcahy (Polaris singer) spin off, probably he did not use his original band name, mostly to separate and avoid the work he would do with Pete & Pete.

Also Mulcahy still play Polaris songs.
