I tried your way and it worked. You haven't mentioned that it is best to use eggs at least 3 days old, to make them easier to peel. I never knew that before, but a lot of websites tell you this.
You're making this way too time-consuming. Add salt and vinegar to the water, and place the eggs in the pot. Start boiling the water, and when it boils turn it down to medium heat and semi-cover the lid for 10 minutes. Run the eggs under some cold water for a few seconds and then tap the egg on the counter and start peeling. You'll be amazed at how easily the peels come off. I use fresh, organic eggs so I don't have air bubbles and the yolks are neon yellow. I can now peel 3eggs in 15 seconds.
trying it right now :) thanks for the tip! I always have issues with making them right!! and am always afraid i won't cook them long enough, but then i can never peel them, I LOVE eggs so excited to test this out :) thanks!
Wow you cook them for ages! I just boil them for 5 mins and they are hard. I just run them under cold water.. Never thought abut the ice bath. Good idea!
Great tip! I learned the tip about boiling the eggs and letting them sit for 10 min. for perfect boiled eggs everytime from watching Rachel Ray. I never knew about putting them in an ice bath. Thanks for sharing!

Good tip about the ice bath. I've only ever used cold running water- but that makes so much more sense. SB diet friendly :).
