  • Lol it winds to create electricity dumb ass! Even if that did happen u would need batteries to store that energy.

  • Murder Mystery-Time of death leads to killer. Watch goes idle (sleep) at 2:05 AM in on man dead in water. Evidence he swam some. Body Found six months later. When did man die?

  • ROFL!!! It's automatic so it doesn't need batteries LOL

  • Automatic self winding watches were invented BEFORE battery watches were. The Swiss Watch Company introduced the quartz watch at a watch conference fair thing thinking it was a ridiculous idea because who would ever want a watch that ran on batteries? Seiko Japan took one look and ran back to Japan and patented the technology. The Swiss didn't even bother patenting it because they believed it was so stupid. So this is just Seiko going backwards instead of forward.

  • Please... My father had a self winding watch over 30 years ago. This isn't a new technology by any stetch of the imagination. Stupid eco tards, on what planet have you been for the last 40 years? Can't believe you people are so oblivious to. I mean good grief, next thing you know you'll claim that a sun dial on your wrist is the ultimate in eco friendly tech. One battery every 5 or so years, and then you use a digital cam that eats batteries in a hours...

  • FYI the damn technology has been around since 1923. Wow now that is a real leap, if you are going back in time...

  • Actually it does need a battery! It stores the movement created electricity in a recharg.Lithium battery.

  • saving the environment? from not using a watch battery!!! what a dumb ass, why do people think even the most pointless reduction in waste will "save" the environment. If you really want to cut back on your waste, you should just waste yourself!

  • idiot, this technology has been around for a long time

  • It technically has a battery-the battery stores the charge from your movement. You don't need to change the battery, though, which is good.

  • the battery is different depending on the watch

my watch has a lithium ion battery (similar to that in a cell phone) which recharges itself.

I question if you don't need to change the battery.

these batteries can loose their capacity over time

  • seiko is the best watch

  • seiko one of the best watch
