  • the book she is now reading the quran rite?

  • yep

  • quran, and at the end it is your book of deeds

  • wow.. cant stop listening to it... the words he uses.. like none ive eve heard before.. not only is his voice so beautyful buh the lyrics are pure gold.. not only that but we also can learn from what he sings.... may allah bless him...

  • Love it! It's so breathtaking! I still cant understand why he started using instruments... his voice is so beautiful, and the instruments drown out his voice.

  • dawud wharansby was a very good islamic singer... now he sings non islamic songs

  • where did u get that?

  • Well nowadays, he does sing songs that don't mention Allah but it doesn't mean they go against Islam or anything. Sometimes he'll sing about war or the trouble that goes in one's mind without mentioning Allah's name but none of his songs contradict Islam at all.

  • TAKBEER....ALLAHU AKBAR!!!

mashallah, this is sucha beautiful nasheed

  • I'm so afraid to read...

  • subhanallah......im so afraid to read.....

  • He is very good and the record is awsome

  • Mashallah , this corresponds to the problems we have today

    subhanallah!!

  • WOW, when i listen to dawud wharnsbys nasheeds it's as though i'm in a trance...HE IS SO AWESOME!

  • dude i know how you feel.....i would love to hear him recite quran, i think it would sound so beautiful....man.

  • there are so many buetiful nasheeds but some muslims dont relise it because they listen to music which is really bad listen to nasheeds id say they are better than music and has a really good meaning so please to all muslims who listen to music please turn back and stop listning to music before its too late..

  • its not onley the music songs but itsthe instrumenst too! the problem is that we still have loads of nasheeds with musical-intstruments in it ...i hope that we all learn from this wa salaamu alekum

  • I second your opinion

  • that is sooo truu

  • This nasheed has a very deep meaning. It is about being afraid to do the one thing that will be such a huge help on the day that we have to read our records. It is about a convert like myself who began reading the Quran as a curiosity and then became totaly scared when they realized just what it ment in their lives. Scared of the changes they would have to make. It is about a teenager who was raised in Islam but is ignoring the teachings. And is afraid to read and realize all there sins.

  • It is more about the fear of submitting than the fear of reading. But the Quran is a reminder to submit and what we should be doing. This is not at all sad to me. It is a testiment to the struggle we must all make. It makes me feel better about my successes because I am not alone in my struggle and strengthens my commitment to do better, InshAllah.

  • i think iz bout on the last day every1 will n' sud be afraid to read their recordz...dat they did in diz world...idk

  • i think i understand the point of this nasheed. is it about how young ppl r afraid to read the quran becasue they dont know how to read it? and there not good enough? wuts the whole point of this nasheed really?

  • forget 2009 1430 mis around the corner

  • Mashallah that is a very sad nasheed it brings a tear to your eye but 2009 is coming it just around the coner mybe we could start to practice islam more inshallah because dooms day is coming close inshallah may allah bless and protect everyone ameen

  • an excellent and thoughtfull nasheed subhanallah

  • wow!

  • this is a little depressing

  • the truth hurts, but in it's bitterness there is a sweetness that is supernatural

  • Islamic literature has often seen death as departure from this world and the beginning of a new journey. In today's society it is seen as something horrible. I think that if you are familiar with the literature of Islam you would see why this is soothing.

For example Rabia (a pious lady) Al Adawi once said: I love God so much I do not find time to hate the devil.

  • salaams - any recommended ones? titles i mean /sites...etc.... Jazaks :)

  • Tadhkiratul Awliya (stories of the saints)

There are many works by Ghazali which are good

Try Ayyuhal Walad- it should be online for free and its only 30 pages

  • Do you know Moulana Jalauddin Rumi

    His poetry is extremely deep

However, I think they are still worth reading

eg: The one who seeks a perfect friend is alone in the end

  • This video made my day thank you from posting it. Masha ALLAH and May ALLAH grant you Jannah:D

  • subhan'Allah ... pick it up and read ... and learn ... and try so hard to submit and learn the way Allah asks us to live!!! Can you do it??

    ALLAHU AKBAR

  • WOW!

  • well the messages in his song are very islamic so even if he uses a guitar, we shudnt get on his case people. Hes a genius.

  • this nasheed is so true we sometimes forget on msn or something that our every single word and action is going to be judged may Allah make it easy for us and May Allah guide the muslim ummah ameen thumah ameen jazakallah khair for ur efforts and uploading aswell to educate the ummah may Allah grant u the highest ranks in jannah ameen and Also jazakAllah khair to brother dawad aswell for actually singing this nasheed...

  • When we read our account I know for one, I'll be afraid, that day, I'll be so afraid to read. That line scared me almost to tears. We know we are getting judged every second of our lives, but sometimes we forget.

  • yeah ure right... im too afraid of judgement day but still im doing things which can put me into hell... we know we will be judge and we will see even a little of our mistakes... its true MUSLIMS live in fear. FEAR TO ALLAH...

  • I think I have a solution

It can be derived from a hadith in Tirmidhi

  • the lyrics make me want to cry. they are so good

  • myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy favorite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    masha allah i luv it

  • he only uses drums which are allowed in Islam a drum at heartbeat speed what is wrong with you people hes nasheeds are halal before claming he uses musical instruments dont cuz he dosent!

  • can any1 reply to me wat is he using in this nasheed instruments?

  • no only drums which r allowed

  • Other than debating the instruments he uses.

    This Nasheed is really good.

Everything he sang about is so true.

  • I honestly don't know whether Allah will consider this is a permissible act or not (that is using instruments in Nasheeds) but...reading the comments below makes me wonder, if we are just making excuses so we do not feel guilty about listening to this "nasheed"...mmmmmm.

  • lol ur comment was a year go but no, the duff is allowed islamically.

  • He uses instruments in his nasheeds, becuase he aid that he writes his nasheeds for children and adding instruments to them will egage them to listen to the message.

  • Whether he uses instruments or not it doesn't matter. If you have a problem with him using them, don't listen to the nazam. Because, as long as it makes a positive impact it doesn't matter. Yes, it's haram and it's not allowed - but there're contridictions to that. I know if i wasn't listening to this, i'd probs be listening to music right now...so for some ppl its a gd thing and for others its not. : )

  • he isnt using any haram instruments

  • not in this one he isn't : )

  • stop debating about his use of music..at least hes better than alot of us when it comes to islam including myself!

  • you should be trying to improve rather than admitting that your weak in your religion

besides, he was much better without music

  • i am constantly trying to improve myself, and you really do not know me so how can you say i am weak in my faith? all i am saying is follow the way of the prophet (pbuh)and dont judge others lest allah judge you in the same way.if dawud is wrong, that is for allah(sbhwt) to decide not the ummah.i too feel he is better without music but we must not stigmatize as allah knows best.and each will be judged for his own deeds, not the deeds of others.

  • dont say haram and halal so easily.. only Allah has the right to judge... Things that Allah dislike, not always HE say it's Haram

    "Wallahu'alam bishowab"

  • Subhanallah.. T_T I always touch about Wharnsby's lyrics.. Must've a journey he lived..

  • its a shame he's started using music, but i truly do love this song:)

  • Salam,

I don't think that he is using music, If u listen carefully u will notice that its only the sound of the duff which is halal.

  • the sound of drums is only halal when u need 2 notify people of prayer time, if there are no other ways..............

  • i don't mean this one, it's just that he's been using the guitar in his latest nasheeds

i love this one though lol

  • I agree. It is a shame that he later incorporated the guitar.

  • agree... his voice does not need to be covered in instruments. mashaAllah it is so nice without the instruments

  • ive never heard this one before but i like it

  • Man this guy takes the mik! he use to do so nice non instrumental nasheeds now he comes out with next level ones!

  • do you know what drum he is using? it is a drum called duff it is the only insturment that is allowed. so it is not haram

  • its sounds like he's using something else. ok so this one doesnt have any haraam instuments but loads of his new ones have - unfortunately!

  • its good Dawud Whanrsby Ali uses halal instruments like the Guitar, thats why muslims invented it 800 years ago!

  • guitars are haram bro. jus coz muslims inventted it dont mean that its halal. muslims used to drink wine before muhammad (SAW) that dont mean that we still are allowed

  • yeah good point..but there are hadith that relate to certain musical instruments that are haram, however they are weak in substance, therefore you cant say the guitar is haram, or halal, its purely based on opinion, and only Allah knows best? And as we know the reason why people believe these instruments to be haram, is because the fact that it is assiociated with satan, and because it takes your mind of God, But that is purely if you let it. you have to moderate these things

  • i would like to read some fatwa on this musical instruments. Im not siding into anyone. :) Lets spread the knowledge.

  • subhanAllah. this is my favourite song...may Allah (swt) bless him..his lyrics have depth

  • awsome mashallah

  • Amazin' Lyrics. =)

  • love this song!

Whens Dawud comin again to malaysia?!

  • awesome.

  • Mashsalla!!!!!

It makes me cry every time...

  • I really go for his songs and the lyrics.

    I'm a Christian

  • We are all brothers of faith, closer then we al think.

  • "That day I'll be so afraid to read,

every harsh word that I've spoken - and every time I have lied.

    I'll be obliged to admit,

    I'll be obliged to submit

Will I have strength owning up to each deed I've tried to hide?

Oh Allah, I'm so afraid to read."

    Intense

    Assalamu Alaikum

  • WOW subhanallah, Mashallah, Alhamdurillah

  • his nasheeds have such a sense of deepness...even a small child would listen and ponder over these really deep words...

  • mashallah love this song

  • omg this guy mashalla ROCKS !! he came to my school and sang for us there hese soo awesome

  • what is it called?

  • its called "afraid to read"

  • no i was asking vercuti3's skool name

  • he came to Britain too, before he was so famous - about 1999. Mashallah his story of conversion and his words in general are/were so beautiful

  • i love his songs!!

  • i do to

  • Dawud Wharnsby always brings tears to my eyes.

  • This is what I call, and everyone should, an amazing man.

  • All the viral attachments sent and passionate insults we vent

It's easy to be arrogant behind user passwords we invent.

But on the day the scrolls are laid, with every word and deed displayed,

  • the first like....5 times i heard this song, it brought tears to my eyes- subhanAllah it's SO true. i can relate to every verse...subhanaAllah... and even now it softens my heart when i hear it, ya Allah!!!! laa hawla wa laa quwatta illa billah

  • mashallah..!

  • mashallah..!

  • mashallah i really love it and its all true u know mashaallah i love it may allah guide us all
