Thank you for putting this up. This was my favourite tune for a long time, I only had a cassette tape recording from some old scratched up vinyl - this is a lot clearer :)

The Orchid Ballroom, Purley, Surrey, they played this song all the time, I love it, its the first time I have heard it since the 60s. Thanks for posting.
Excellent song...a skin Oi! band from France called Survet Skins cover this. I still can't figure out what "tune" he's talking about here in terms of one called "Ride The Donkey". I know these songs often have sexually explicit lyrics and double entendres...anyone know what it's really about though? Lol I must be dense.
Used to always play this 45 RPM record @ my late Grandma's place - NYC - Harlem. Love this song...

@youthgoes
Lol there’s no double meaning or triple meaning, the song was originally an old Jamaican Nursery Rhyme.
A young boy’s Dad buys him a Fiddle for his birthday and the only song the boy could play on that fiddle was “Ride Your Donkey”
Google search [The Tennors Ride My Donkey Lyrics] and all will become clear

@cinemakramp Thank You very Much. It seems the second posting has survived, So all is well...(Fingers Crossed lol)
I think originally You Tube blocked Young Boy & Fiddle, & Ride Your Donkey....But then realized exactly what I was writing about........
And then came to their senses.

The singer of Survet Skin has a other band. It's a ska/reggae band called 8°6 crew.
