I've just shot some footage of Melbourne city streets at night with a Zi8. Their low light performance is also amazingly good, esp with the latest software version, though as you approach total darkness, image processing artifacts become obvious. Paid Aust$140 for mine by importing direct from USA. Its extreme small size also makes it unobtrusive in public shooting situations, which can be adbantageous. EXTREMELY pleased with it.
