@MogaMaster1 I have to say the game is too short. I got it three days ago completed Will's story in two days and just compeleted Helen's story and got the fianl ending to night. I hope I can clear up this NiGHTS discussion. NiGHTS is genderless. This is so NiGHTS appeals to both Boys & Girls. To contribute to this NiGHTS has the personality of a tom-boyish girl mixed with a feminine boy. NiGHTS having a girls voice is a good move in my opinion. But that don't mean NiGHTS is a girl. As I'v said NiGHTS is genderless so its OK to refer to NiGHTS as a boy or girl. Personally I see NiGHTS as a girl.

And let me tell you, after maturing it's very hard to make a high pitch voice, let alone a child's. When women mature their voice doesn't get deeper, and thus it is easier for them to make a child's voice

It kind of makes sense that NiGHTS has no specific gender. He/She can Dualize with anyone, boy or girl. Also that she can relate to many girl & boy traits/personality, making him/her a non-gender. But, I still consider Him/Her as a girl, since: she wears bright clothing (pink, purple, yellow. Even her 'skin'. Not saying that boys don't like any of these colors... well you know what I mean ;) ), the actress is a woman, & if you look closely, she has long eyelashes. But that's just my opinion :)

We're used to calling something with a conciousness "he" or "she" if it can speak to us based on if it has a femine or masculine nature. NiGHTS is genderless but has a personality and you may refer to NiGHTS as "he" if you view him as masculine or "she" if you view her as feminine. Neither would be incorrect as it is supposed to be your choice when referring to Nightmarens. :)

I hope I can clear up this NiGHTS discussion. NiGHTS is genderless. This is so NiGHTS appeals to both Boys & Girls. To contribute to this NiGHTS has the personality of a tom-boyish girl mixed with a feminine boy. NiGHTS having a girls voice is a good move in my opinion. But that don't mean NiGHTS is a girl. As I'v said NiGHTS is genderless so its OK to refer to NiGHTS as a boy or girl. Personally I see NiGHTS as a girl.

And let me tell you, after maturing it's very hard to make a high pitch voice, let alone a child's. When women mature their voice doesn't get deeper, and thus it is easier for them to make a child's voice

It kind of makes sense that NiGHTS has no specific gender. He/She can Dualize with anyone, boy or girl. Also that she can relate to many girl & boy traits/personality, making him/her a non-gender. But, I still consider Him/Her as a girl, since: she wears bright clothing (pink, purple, yellow. Even her 'skin'. Not saying that boys don't like any of these colors... well you know what I mean ;) ), the actress is a woman, & if you look closely, she has long eyelashes. But that's just my opinion :)

Niece- I know NiGHTS is suppose to be an it, but I still consider NiGHTS a boy cuz Reala says "Good boy" in the game. But also see NiGHTS as a girl due to look and voice (Thanks Journey of Dreams!). But I prefer boy. ^^ Just easier.

I believe NiGHTS is a boy actually, they call NiGHTS a boy throughout the whole thing. I'm pretty sure in the older games NiGHTS is a boy.

My sister is better at all games, I don't even get how. She is just older than me, its not like she has super power gaming skills...I think. I will examine her later.

I feel so dang uplifted by this song! I almost like it more than the actual theme. They have two totally different moods though so I guess I can't compare them.

@JerichoCross140 Ugh.. It's a really complicated yet simple subject, Do some research and you'll find that NiGHTS is whatever gender one perceives her as. (I perceive her as a girl) Honestly what do you expect SEGA to do XD NiGHTS is the perception of the kindness in our hearts, if we choose for it to have a gender like an older sister or brother that's our choice.

@JerichoCross140 Well yeah. I'd like to concider NiGHTS both a he and a she. if you actually think about it, NiGHTS has the looks of a girl..... sort of..... but the characteristics of a boy. (adventerous, egar, etc.) Owl says that NiGHTS is a boy. if you read the caption when you see nights alone at DELIGHT CITY before the birdchace and reala battle (hint hint) and reala comes along, somewhere in the captions, Owl will ay that nights is a HE!!!

@Supersilver1932 Actually they chose quite unfitting voice acting for the game as NiGHTS was supposed to sound like either a young boy or a girl so you coud see it either way, but NiGHTS ended up sounding mostly feminine.
The same with Reala. His voice wasn't supposed to be so distinctly masculine. Because they did this, they made it seem bias in favor of NiGHTS being female and Reala being male when they're supposed to be genderless and seen as either.

Lastly, in NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams, "if you played this game", all the other characters refer to NiGHTS as male.
Reala: "That's a good boy."
Owl: "If you feel that you can no longer trust him, I suppose it can't be helped."
I don't recall if Helen ever refers to NiGHTS but I know Will calls NiGHTS "him" and "he" once or twice in his story. =P

@JerichoCross140 Because that wouldn't be grammatically correct I guess. We're used to calling something with a conciousness "he" or "she" if it can speak to us based on if it has a femine or masculine nature. NiGHTS is genderless but has a personality and you may refer to NiGHTS as "he" if you view him as masculine or "she" if you view her as feminine. Neither would be incorrect as it is supposed to be your choice when referring to Nightmarens. :)

@Ukaran Not really. The only thing feminine about NiGHTS is the eyelashes and even that's just part of the "Style".
People only think NiGHTS is more feminine than masculine now because of the voice which was meant to sound like a young boy or girl (Because NiGHTS is genderless and meant to be viewed as either by choice). However they FAILED as the voice sounded mostly only feminine which is technically not correct. Same with Reala. He's not supposed to sound THAT male-ish.

@Axxidous1) NiGHTS's clothes are mostly purple and pink. Pink being a color more associated with girls.
2) The big eyelashes.
3) NiGHTS have a non-muscular, lean, and slender body with curves. All those characteristics being more associated with girls(and contrasting with Reala's more muscular/masculine figure).
4) NiGHTS is not very strong physicaly(contrasting with Reala), another characteristic more associated with the "fragile sex"
People think NiGHTS is more feminine because she IS!

@Ukaran 1) Clothes don't matter. They're "soft" colors to represent mystical and friendly as opposed to black and red representing evil. There also isn't any pink. It's a lavander color (I really need to learn to spell that color lol)
2) The eyelashes are just a style. Reala has lipstick and eyeliner. Big deal. lol

@Ukaran 3) NiGHTS body was not originally THAT curvey nor was Reala THAT masculine. The guy who redesigned them for JoD is not the same person. NiGHTS being sleek and Reala being muscular is also a trait to signify gentle (good) vs rough (evil).
Who says NiGHTS isn't strong physically? You can't see his arms and his torso is the same. The difference is are the legs but I don't think that matters with Nightmarens. Jackle HAS no legs. lol

Like I said, the only actual feminine characteristics NiGHTS has are the eyelashes which are mere style to me.
The only other characteristics is the voice and that's only in the RECENT game Journey of Dreams and even then it was meant to sound like a girl OR A YOUNG BOY. They merely failed at it.

@Ukaran If you wanna suggest NiGHTS clothes, I don't think that's relevant as he's a Nightmaren. (plus anyone can where anything. Reala has no pants at ALL. Guys and girls wear SOMETHING to cover up down there. Reala obviously doesn't have that limitation)
NiGHTS wears what looks like a semi-tuxedo semi-figure skater outfit. And it looks more like a male's figure skater outfit than a female's. The rest is pretty much a jester outfit with a sleek, magical style overtop. That's all I see.

But they FAILED. NiGHTS IS more of one than the other. I already gave four examples of that(five if you count the voice).
Yes, you can IGNORE all her/it's feminine traits and think it's a boy. But that won't make those traits disappear. And if you look at ALL of them... You can see she/he/it have more feminine ones.

And fading at 3:14 is the lyrics after the main verse in dreams dreams sweet snow. LOL. Cool huh?
