This is obviously for the muscle train for the reverse punch or 'cross'! I guess you could hang that sandbag on a rope, about shoulder high when in the down position, then push the bag on a rising angle to get a more focused exercise!

I think this is a good exercise. Not sure if it is the way to fights someone with a longer reach. Think Joe Frazier or Mike Tyson. Bob and weave and get on in the inside.
This is not how you would fight. Definitely not lol. This develop the body, not the skills. You won't try to throw a sand bag at your opponent either. :)
@Elasticsteel Can you make a video or offer advice for breaking the defence of taller opponents, expecially defensive counter attacking fighters who sit back and use their reach, for competition sake (no hook punching or leg kicks), Thanks.
