You do realised Raiden was suppose to be a girl. Girls were fed up with playing with guys on MGS (it's true) But they already began creating a male, so they shoved some heels on him.
@lXthepkerXl well hes a ninja he didnt do it through his vitals he missed on pourpose and swung into vamps vitals.since he thought that would finish him off or atleast hurt him

The way the cutscenes were composed in this game depicting Raiden, it seems they got some inspiration from Shinobi for PS2.
