It is so true that many people are still using email for connecting with thier lists - it bugs the cr** out of me when I get inundated with the same email over and over - I have started to unsubscribe. HOWEVER I never unsubscribe from a Social Network .

It was Howie Schwartz that made it clear early on that you must drag the leads out of Faceboook (or any social site) and into your own marketing.

Now you have less competition and convert at much higher rates.

You might notice my outgoing links to squeeze pages, my branding of my domain in the splash pages at the beginning and end of the videos.

Rarely do you get the chance to so many to see your branding, see and hear you.

YouTube is now my marketing favorite.

Oh yeah, watch everything Simon does, he is a very very good marketer and one of the few that really gets social networking.

I am a programmer, I figure out the things that the Simon Fords sell. Most of the big marketer's get some of this, but it is people like me that figure it out.

I have one of my videos on the front of Google for a rather random keyword, and it is 50K from hitting a million hits. Actually sometimes the followup video also gets on the results, but only has little over 100K views.

Amy, now we start to see where Google is going with Google Friend Connect. Expect to see that messaging and add friend box to be a GFC widget sooner or later.

We only waited for the Blogger followers widget to do so for six months so be patient.

Youtube sure is a great way to get on the first page of google, but using other social bookmarking sites to boost views to you videos is a nice bonus too.
