Are you suggesting that they cheat? There aren't any "little monitors on the floor" giving them cues. That's ridiculous. The people in the stands behind the stage would be able to see them. I've been situated that way before, and I can tell you there's no trickery at all. They just take fan request signs and do the songs on the spot. It's epic.
