Great--also try Eb clarinet reeds which work good..I cut he length a bit on the bottom part to fit better--Lavoz will give another tone than the Vandoren ones.. I also found a BG leather lig that fits the metal mpc. a bit freer than the metal lig that comes with
Hi nice I also have the Yangi Sopranino..use a metal 7 mpc which gives a more fuller sound than the ebonite ones..if you know any others let me know.besides Selmer.I have asked many I know who make mpcs but no one will do a sopranino one....also Eb clar reeds seem to work a bit better than Vandoren(at least for me)
@WoodwindMusicWeb Thanks for the hint with the Eb clar reads, they realy work. I used to cut the end off an Soprano read.
What is the brand of the metal mpc? Is a lot smaller than the ebonit ones? I have also a Zinner mpc for the sopranino, but I like the the yana stock piece better.
@ClueLou It's a lot of fun, playing it, but sometimes a little tricky, since the mouthpiece is really tinny. The higher the notes get, the more difficulte it is.
Good thing about it is, you can always take it with you or have it laying next to you. So if you want to try something, just grab it an play. I love this little honk :)
yani makes the best soprano' and nino's out there. much better than mark VI's and most can agree to that. that's why mark vi sopranos are only worth around $3400ish (not that that's cheap)
I sell both Yanagisawa and Selmer copies on Ebay. The tone and action is very similar on both, however the Selmer copy is keyed to high F#.I like Mossite's fluid style. Leebm29. Ebay ID licorice-stick
well, this was the first day with my soparnino and for that I think the intonation is not that bad :). I guess you just have to get a good one. I like to fool around with that little thing.

WoodwindMusicWeb 1 year ago
@WoodwindMusicWeb I ordered it directly from Zinner. I asked them, if they have mouthpieces for Sopraninos and they made me one.
I'm gonna check out the Yana silverplated.

I can just picture the flappers doing the charleston to this music. Really fun to listen to.
