really? because in "todays NHL" you need people to protect your stars and Duco will do that and then some, you've probably only watched this and think Duco is a nobody, but he's actually pretty well known around the NHL from his fights in junior and AHL. Duco is like Colton Orr, he'll fight all the time but will rarely score, and Orr's in the NHL as a full-time player, Florida doesn't have a tough-guy and Duco is great guy for the job, he'll be a full-time player easily

I still don't understand why Duco had to go after him. All Giroux did was lay a clean check and he didnt hurt anyone. Total overreaction but Duco isn't the only one who reacts like that. The entire NHL has become a pussy operation thanks to Lord Bettman's rules. Now anytime there is a good, clean, hard hit there is always retaliation. Where's the respect for the game? I was at the game last night and was directly above the where the rolling one-sided fight came to an end and what I saw was just a garbage retaliation. Duco came over the wall after the line change and immediately skated for Giroux then hit him in the back of the head which sent Giroux to the ice...as cheap of a cheapshot as you can get...there are no excuses for that type of play.
