When you get sent back in time, does anything stay? Like, if you were to gain 5 levels and then get someone Murdered, would those 5 levels still be there once you're back in time?
I don't know if it's the same for the Japanese ed. or not, but I know in the US version if you go back in time, you lose all your progress level and S.Link-wise. And I think whatever equipment you've found. I learned that the heard way.
Personally, if I chose about what I feel over how I want my game to progress, I'll let that creep die too. Sigh... Sadly, there is no other way around it. -__-

No, if you fail to save someone, Igor lets you rewind back a week and do it over.
