@railpoint i don´t hear any mars volta in there, but i´m gonna agree on electric wizard and black sabbath - a bit boris (say, from the album "pink") in there too!
okay so my guess on these guys touring with tool(yea i saw it, wasnt too great) is that they kinda have a space theme going on "Spaceships"? and tool's stage setup for its summer tour was named Rosetta Stoned(which we all know what thats about)... but anyway thats just my guess

ok, i saw tool, i love music of all kinds, but these guys suck... im sorry to break it to ya... for those who like them, ok... weird, but ok! this is just an opinion, so dont be all like BLAH BLAH BLAH at me
Hey bro you can have your opinion, I'm not gonna go against it. But you can't say these guys suck, there's not proof of them sucking, just as there's no proof of Tool being awesome. So here's a tip so you don't start up arguments left and right. Say "I don't like this band" rather than "these guys suck LOL." just be careful how you word stuff:)
how can you say this band sucks as a tool fan? the low-fi quality of the music reminds me so much of opiate. also the simplicity (in comparison to tool's more recent works) of the music is reminiscent to opiate. they remind me of the sword as well as sabbath and zeppelin.
you seem to question the musical taste of tool is what i am saying, tool like tweak bird, because of similarities and strangeness.
if tweak bird was so bad, why did they come back for an encore. all the fans in the crowd seemed to love tweak bird. they're good dude.
"only two of them". i guess thats why nine inch nails sucks right? because trent reznor made an album all by himself and it just happened to be his best selling album. serj tankian is bad to huh? get outa here dude, you are pathetic
holy shit wen is and where is this concert metallica is my fav band ever and lamb of god is awsome too and i had to through this shit stain of a band at the tool concert
i could only listen to the first 2 minutes of it because it sounded like shit. what the fuck was that? do they really think that kind of voice is good for music? if they do, then they really have no musical talent. who was their musical influence, elvis taking a shit? now, i just listened to tweak bird again, and they sound much, much better than that shit stain band lamb of god.
thought headliners was a place, not a band. tweak bird also opened for tool, and if you wanna tell all of the whatever million tool fans that tool sucks, be my guest.
i don't see LOG having tweak bird open for them, or even see them in the same stadium. the only reason LOG is famous is because all of the slayer fans were waiting for the new album, and they heard this and thought it was similar.
p.s. i was implying that slayer sucks just as bad as the stupid cunts lamb of god. get off here fag
why would i say if i hate tool if i was at the tool concert that tweak bird pathetically opened for them. there bad dude...thats why theres only two of them
hey man...calm down lol. tool is one of my favorite bands so obviously i like these guys. but ease up on lamb of god man. their the shit too. but that has nothing to do with slayer. i dont like them.
I missed them opening for tool on the 5th at amphitheatre, but I've heard great things, and they sound pretty awesome. too bad we got there a bit late for them :(
They were so terrible that no one was even in there seat during Tweak Bird, the entire crowd was out in the pavilion. I cant even count the number of concerts I have been to in my life and this was without a doubt the worst opening band I have ever heard.
these guys are awsome i saw them opening up for tool is there any albums they have out i would be able to buy at an HMV near my house? or anything of the sort?
Saw Tool with these guys last night in toronto. pretty amazing show. to be honest these guys were probably the best opening bands i've ever seen at a concert. the drum solo during lateralus was sick.
this is just plain old bad, not looking forward to hearing this so called music 2moro in T.dot. They shud invest in musicians and instruments so it doesn't sounds like a cracked out homeless guy's desperate last attempts to get enuf money for his nightly bottle of paint thinnner.
man i saw tool last night in kingston, front row center, when they came on everyone just wanted to see tool so no one really cared, but when they started playing they actually hardcore, and if your still ify on the voice you can barely hear it
i saw tweak bird with atl with tool (front row in front of adam jones btw) and they were good at first, they did this weird shit with that entenna thing. it was weird as hell, but it seemed like they were going to end their songs like three times i swear, you couldnt tell if it was ending or not. it was good overall though :]
They weren't that good either, If unique / different are the criteria. They got that covered, But I dam sure would never knowingly pay to hear them, Tool, CD, local bar for $3 or other wise.
that drummer man was sick in that danny carey lateralus interlude tool rules. they kind of remind me of really dark versions of the black keys. and they sound like effin cartoon birds tweeking
Saw them last night in Duluth. This band is really Original, they combine a taste of classic rock with prog, they're song style reminded me very much of the White Stripes. The progressive interludes with the woodwind instruments were impressive.
As many of these commentsr have already said, I saw them last night as an opening for Tool, and they aren't my thing at all. Their hard rock vibe is nice, but I find it particularly generic.. . .but what turns me off the most is their voices. Their voices turned everything off that I did and would like about them. I like the unique fling of adding a flute in their rock tunes, but their voices...I think they would be better staying instrumental, because I liked their song with the flute piece.
I saw them Saturday night in Dallas with TOOL. Thought they were good...just not sure they're my "thing" yet. Maybe after a few more listens...and Shiners. =P
Tool with Tweak Bird in 4 days :). Im not to impressed with these guys although the tweak bird drummer guest drumming in lateralus is supposed to be pretty sweet

It's impressive stuff to watch and consider live, with the sounds he's getting out of the bass and the presence of the drums.
But honestly, the quality of the music in general leaves me kinda cold. Technically it's interesteing but it just doesn't speak to me.
Maybe in the future or possibly in the studio it will work.
