  • That is some big hair on that woman. I think she looks fantastic. A drag queens dream.

  • Great song Written by the wonderfully talented Linda Creed. Classic Philly Sound.

  • I have to disagree that Dusty was the white queen of soul. She had soul alright but she was one of the greatest female performers who took SOUL, rhythum and blues, rock n' roll what ever BOX you want to put her in..... to a whole another level that no one else could.....BUT HER!!!! ....She was way ahead of her time!!

    WE LOVE YOU DUSTY!!

  • Released for Dusty's 30th birthday in 1969.... What a great song, well ahead of its time ... Available on In Memphis Plus and other albums... A rare gem amongst so many gems from this rare and talented performer...

  • Story of my life...

  • I wonder what Burt Bacharach thinks of Thom Bell. I bet he loves his songs. They called Thom the Bacharach of the 70s. There's a lot of similarity. I like Burt's stuff more, but I love Thom's stuff really well too. I'm thankful for both of their music :)

  • love all of dusty's songs so meaningful x becky

  • What an exciting performance. She was such a great interpreter of every song that she sang.

  • Cool Dress...I want one!

  • Wonderful. And that high note at the end - impeccable! ♥

  • That chick could sing. Duh I know.

  • A wonderful recording even better live. Gorgeous gown.

  • i love this song the words are so emotional x becky

  • That voice... so distinctive. I remember knowing that she was a special performer, even as a child back in the 1960s. I just loved seeing her on one of the 1960s variety shows. Thanks for posting this.

  • Elegant, as usual and I love her hand and body motions......she was so quick and graceful..but for me, in these latter clips, there seems to be a real sadness.......I wish I could have helped in some way.......

  • Once I start listening I can't drag myself away, she's awesome, Love yer Dusty,

    R.I.P Ray ♥

  • Such a poignant song for her at this point in her life. She sings the heck out of it here as well, probably better than the actual studio vocal!

  • They say Dusty is the white queen of soul. On the contrary dianna ross is the black Dusty, maybe

  • Yes, I know what you mean and I agree.

  • @RAY2424 The black Dusty? Diana is Diana.

  • Reminds me of Duffy

  • Duffy reminds me of Lulu, Dusty's voice is smoother

  • love this songi gotta be a free girl ,a beautiful voice always remembered xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • This is so great! Thanks for posting this performance.

  • YOU SEE DUSTY? YOUR STILL LOVED

    MARY

  • She's not regularly seen as a sex symbol but in the late 60's she was quite a hottie.

  • Back then she was seen as the girl other girls envied for her outspokenness and the fellas trod gently in fear of getting the wrong side of her. I learned a lot from Miss Springfield thank you very much. even today no one can beat her vocal skills. Thats what makes a legend.

  • A voice as smooth as silk, every song of hers was an original.

  • Dusty was the greatest of them all.

    Nobody else comes close.

  • Hand movements? Lol, try talent, compared to Dusty a performer with actualy talent has become a lost art....xoxo

  • Can I get A Tissue :(

  • A artist with sheer versatility ,as soul brotha I gotta give Dusty her blue-eyed soul props!!One of my favorites thanks for this post

  • I love this clip. This was a point in time when Dusty was still willing to go up into her head-voice (which is truely amazing...). Also love her outfit, and all of the rings on her fingers...!!!

  • Just fantastic. Thanks so much for this!

  • Beautiful..... She could sing anything..

  • She looks like a singing goddess with that dress. What an artist God bless you Dusty.

  • She does'nt just look like a goddess, kickassfan, she WAS a goddess......THE goddess! There will never be another.

  • true story thanks jenny5wren

  • I adore her dress- it's so beautiful. And a lovely song!
