  • His back must of really hurt after that. I used to do Dead lifts like that, you have to make sure that you use your back muscles and not your arms to pull up the weight. He was trying to use his arms to pull it up a bit at the end.

  • Guys a stud but form is horrendous. Best I've seen at a high school meets is a 500 lb. deadlift at 148 lbs with a standard bar which has to be harder.

    I did 515 trapbar at 17 years old my senior year of high school, weight was around 178. This isn't a significant lift at all. I certainly wasn't the strongest person in the gym either...

  • Come on man...the reasoning for using a trap bar is to take the back out of it and use more leg drive/ make it much easier. Use your legs first then your back/glutes to lock it out.

    One rep with bad form on anything can injure anyone at any time. Trying to lift this amount of weight with pretty much just your lower back can seriously snap your shit up! 

  • @1cutlerfan OMG,dangerously executed. The lift began with the knees bent just fine then went all low back. This man is going to blow a disk or worse. More severely, facet joints can fracture allowing vertebrae to shift endangering the spinal cord=paralysis. Proper lifting technique has to be known for anything over 100lbs.,I don't care who/how strong you are. Good weight but the trap bar is too restrictive. Done properly this guy could probably exceed 550+. This method is going to hurt him badly
