Excellent production, good lighting , sound and camera. I wish the young man was a little more familiar with the Persian language and culture. Don't take me wrong, he is a great piano player, but he is very Western.
how do you know he is not familliar with persian culture? this song is rooted in the history of iran, it has both revolution and love in it. i know its not old, dont get me wrong, but the message it tells.
i dont know if he can speak farsi, even if he has some lahdje in it who cares, who need words if he can play piano like this.

@moftaki Thank you for your comments! I come from a tradition that celebrates new perspectives on established works. My performance is certainly not "authentic", however real Iranian music is anyway rather incompatible with the Western piano, using a different scale and being melodically based rather than harmonic, so I prefer to not try in vain to copy the style, instead making the most out of the music in an original, Western way. For authenticity, I would need a tar, kamanche, or santur!
