people are going to call me noob for saying this but why is vaporeon such a commonly used pokemon? id perfer umbreon or leafreon

They are all used for different reasons

Vaporeon has high special attack , special defence and HP, making it an amazing special tank/ wish passer

Leafeon is not very good because it is a physical tank with a lack of physical STAB moves

Umbreon is also a special/physical wall but uses moves like Payback and Toxic instead of support moves like Vaporeon

Actually Leafeon has quite a few attacking options such as Leaf Blade, Seed Bomb or Razor Leaf (If you want something at a low level). Umbreon and Leafeon can both be great wish support if you use them correctly. Plus they can both learn a Curse/ Wish combo which works great on both of them. :) I have a powerful Leafeon that has Curse, Wish, Leaf Blade and Last Resort. It's pretty powerful too!

In english: In my opinion there were areas in this battle where u could have made better decisions. You could have made Gardevoir used Thunder Bolt On Umbreon before it fainted, then used a water move with Vaporion to finish the job on Umbreon, Then it was a coin toss of Vaporion living against Joteon.

you may have not won but you could of done better.

Why's that? This generation has given Hitmonchan awesome advantages, since now it can take advantages of elemental punches, and the Eevee evolutions all have definite use. Flareon is the only suck Pokemon among them, but if it had flare blitz, itd be fine.
