@armycadetforcelol you can be an explorer with some fire districts. At least around where i live you can be an explorer with fire departments and police departments. Its kind of like boy scouts but instead they teach you how to fight fire or how to be a police officer.

And i know with explorers programs here you cannot do interior firefighting (house fires) since its to dangerous. so im not sure why he is racing for a SCBA time, other than for fun. And you usually dont do any wildland either.lol

You can train now, you just can't go to calls. If the department in your area has a training course, they will let you do this.

Keep trying kid, you'll catch him eventually. The most important thing is to actually use your scba when around smoke. Meth labs, plastics, chemicals, etc. Its dangerous out there today.

i noticed that the dad only pulled the bottom straps of the mask when the son pulled the botton and the tops before he had to put on his hood, thats what caused him time.

since im the "young punk" at my station i always give the older guys a hard time. Challenging them and such. Asking if they brought thier AARP cards to work. But theres nothing i would do for those guys.
