Haha!! I was on that shoot dressing Hot Gossip! I remember the young Arlene Phillips and the impressive David Mallet directing the OB shoot on the beach, somewhere near Hastings... Luminance keying colours into the sky was pretty cutting edge at the time!!

Cerrone should take note that the way the video used Supernature's outro as the intro and then in to the hook was brilliant. Not quite timed right, but the idea was right.

I remember this was before we had a VCR so I used to set my tape player next to the TV and record it. btw kids a tape player is an audio device that used a magnetic head to record sounds onto a 45 minute ( typically) Cassette Tape. Look it up on the internets.

I remember Everett did a spoof Thames ident "this is Thames Television, the station with the biggest tits in the world" followed by a modified Thames animation with cartoon type tits appearing

I was 15 when this came out,i loved kenny he was so funny although i didnt realise cupid stunt was a play on words at the time, also hot gossip was probabily the closiest you could get to porn for us horny little boys its all we talked about at school the next day, happy days

There is nothing today that comes close to the suggestivenes ( ? ) of this and that is where its charm lies . I am very pleased to be old- and to have this as the fabric of my life. I know little of Hot Gossip except that they make me happy to be able to remember them.Strangely it was the guys that made it so good-you always expect perfection fom girls but the way the men move is utterly beutifull. Thank you

The Kenny Everret show was so good, i was really young but my dad would let me watch it, the sketch with the French masked fag smoking was so funny,,and even being about 9 years old i didnt get the jokes but he just made me laugh.. And i do think it was all done in the best possible taste.

Agree 100% noproblem53. Since many Hot Gossip dancers were classically trained and graceful they pulled off the "suggestive yet innocent" look with ease. With no internet, this was the sexiest thing on telly!  In Britain we had a censorious, whinging old biddy who complained regularly about anything remotely sexy!
