well I've actually seen them live

and I've also read many articles on how they perform.

They use Ableton Live (I do too) and if you know what live's Session View is then I think you would understand. It's not necessarily pressing play, you combine different elements from all of their songs on the fly. and they actually have keyboards their too, so they do play some parts of the songs. They use JazzMutant Lemurs also to mix and change other parameters on the fly.

If you were more familiar with Ableton Live, I think you would really understand what they are doing. And of all the bands I have seen live, believe it or not they are the most mezmerizing and breathtaking. There wasn't a single person who didn't have the best time of their lives there. Maybe their not playing instruments like Ratatat, but they are doing what they do best: DJing. I really appreciate daft punk for what they do.
