Gears 2 does improve on everything that made Gears 1 great. My only thing is that there aren't really any "real" bosses. Every once in a while something big and badass would show up but you could usually kill it pretty easily. Even the last "boss". It's still a great game though, I'd just like to see bosses that don't suck.
