  • This is where celebrities go when they're not famous enough to go on Hollywood Squares

  • Debra: "A doughnut, a basketball"

    Alex "A basketball"

    yeah...maybe a flat basketball....

  • Great Job Alex $10,000 in your pocket

  • I'm sorry, it's not the same without the happy "Yay you won" music with the tambourine. This was kinda "yay you won bye bye /yawn".

  • @daward2 LOL!

  • awesome job!

  • @barber215 thanks!

  • I'd like to see Pyramid come back...and Match Game too!

  • way to go!

  • ...and I'ont care what NOBODY say, this theme song is PITIFUL.

  • It's better than the horriffic card sharks 2001, that show and set is even worse, this set is sleek and beautiful.

  • This episode aired this past Friday night 3/20 at 10PM EST.

  • Dick Clark did appear in this version a few times, any chance you could post that?

  • @Hondo20132 thewhammy83 has one of those episodes posted

  • "because I like to pitch a tent"

  • wtf she says them like what they say wtf?? is she a robot? anyway congrats

  • My main issue with this version of Pyramid other than the rules and times was the set lighting. I know it sounds tedious but when you go back to all the good game shows the lighting lets you know when there's tension and drama, here its the same light color backdrop throughout the entire game! It makes no difference to round to Winner's Circle. I like the triangular truss theme which was smart but with better lighting it would cue the viewer the importance and differnce between rounds.

  • My main issue is the theme. All the other ones had that distinctive theme. This one was just another dime-a-dozen techno theme. Doesn't anyone take cues from The Price is Right anymore?

  • maybe that's BECAUSE they are TM TO tpir

  • No, I meant don't they realize that TPIR never changed their theme and stayed on the air for over three decades? Shouldn't that tell them something?

  • I agree! The original Pyramid was better.

  • Yeah, the way they had the set, the big pyramid and winner's circle were deemphasized when compared to the old versions. The lighting didn't help much, either, you're right. Although I do think they darkened the stage in later episodes. I would have also kept the ticking sound effect for the clock. That does create tension.

  • I Actualy do like this set, it's more futuristic and it has a 21st century look.

  • This set SUCKS.

  • this should've been still been airing today because donny osmond was my favorite host of pyramid

  • You weren't around much in the 80's, were ya?

  • Dick Clark rules!!!

  • Right?

  • if they were gong to keep this version of pyramid, change the rules so that contestants get a shot at 25K automatically if in the winner's circle two times.

  • Debra Jo Rupp looks like Patty Duke to me. :)

  • Wow, you look younger on Pyramid then you did on Rodeo Drive, hehe

  • Alex, how big was the audience on this show?

  • It's hard to tell when you are on stage with all the lights. Plus you are focused on the task at hand. I know when I was a mob member on 1 vs 100 I had a great view of the audience and it was big. I would say Pyramid place second to that

  • It may have been around 200-250 people.

BTW, those are some lovely boots u got on there in the vid!

And ur daughter had to be about seven by this time, am I correct? She's gotta be around my bro's age.

  • It's a bummer that you didn't get the Super Six... but congratulations!

  • She guessed the answers "exactly" on ALL of them. I think she was reading the cue cards... no, just kidding!!! Congrats!

  • you look happy.
