@100haden No, you can create a background layer, create a box covering your stage and insert your created background image as the fill. Place this layer below all other layers for it to appear as a background x

@100haden and the character thing.. In theory you could, but you would have to create each instance of the animation in photoshop then. Whereas you can create it just as easy in flash, and keep the file size down due to vector graphics using the same instances from the library x

i have a little problem with flash cs5. Im new to flash and im working on a banner ad which is the size 250x240 px. I right click in the stage and go to document properties and resize it from there but when i save the video and play it in the browser it gets all big and pixly. The other problem is that everything that is outside my document when i workin in the stage gets included in the video. Could anyone help me with this please.
