Nice...I know when I shot my son's Kimber...which is going down the road...POS...I kinda liked it....as I said....might buy me a Springfield someday.....but I still like my 24/7 Pro.....I will see if I can find that article on combat shooting....instead of going down the sights....you look down the slide...and aim for center mass....which with a .45 (add hollow points) is more than sufficient to drop a ZOMBIE.....LOL
@ETHRON1 I hear a lot of good things about the springfields. Interesting about the combat shooting you mentioned, I'd like to see the article on that. You mean you look down the side of the slide to accquire you target? Interesting indeed.
The Article is in one of my gun magazines....not sure which one...but yes...you keep both eyes open and sight down the side of the slide...It is strictly close range tactics...but it works...aim for center mas...it is also alot quicker to acquire a target....it does take some practice....try it.....E1
@noBuzzkillin It is my first 1911. Yes, it does feel much different than any other hand gun I've shot. I was amazed at how well I was able to shoot it right out of the box. Love shooting this pistol! When I first got it I was a little concerned at how small it felt in my hands, but that translates into good things for me with this gun.

Is that your fist 1911?? If so, feels different don't it? In a really good way. My Kimber felt like a well balanced machine first time I shot it.
