I have been bodybuilding for years and always thought something was a bit off, and i think it was my mind body connection. I feel like now somehow i will have better gains because i am visualizing them. I never thought about that possibility before, seriously some amazing advice. If i knew this person i would probably hug them

@totalhealth4life Yeah that was the quote. I got into exercising about three years ago. I've gotten increasingly serious about it as time goes by. People who choose to neglect their mind or body are seriously missing out on life.
I do a ketogenic diet for many reasons, here are some things that are real important for ME, in making this diet effective. 1. High level of ketones 2. Restrict carbs to very low levels, less than 20g. 3. Restrict protein levels to body requirements 4. Restrict fluid intake, this will increase ketone concentration. 5. Eat a SLIGHTLY subcaloric diet. 6. I eat a large percentage of calories from fat, about 70%.
I use MCT's, (coconut oil) occasionaly, but that stuff is rough on the gut.

there are technical things you have to practice to learn and tap into your mind-body connection. With that and age and wisdom the spiritual part comes in to play.
I am a 48 yr old firefighter , that has always been in shape since HS, and I am about to retire, but I get the Mind Body thing, but spirituality? I am an Atheist and I get the same results with out the spirituality. Great Vid though.
A true spiritual relationship with one and / or all kinetic exercises has nothing to do with religion. Spiritual is best understood as a physical / metaphysical or conscious / unconscious relationship. I understand this in relation to the exercises of painting and tennis.

What do tell your mind when your body is telling you it does not feel like excercise? How do you get to the gym when motovation is low? ANY help is greatly appreciated.
If you can just GET to the gym, once you're there you will get into your workout. The endorphins start flowing and all is well! Many times I have used my mind to make myself go because the strong desire to achieve optimal health outweighed my desire to be lazy. I use a great energy product and have a strong cup of coffee to get going.

Many years of hard work, discipline, dedication and consistency equal small lean muscle gains each year. You're right. I'm a health expert not an unhealthy bodybuilder. I sort of take it as a compliment when people think I look so fit that they think I went that route.

You are right, getting to the gym is the hardest part (for me anyway) but once I am there everything goes OK and afterward I feel so much better.
