  • I think, Wynton should play Jazz and leave classical music to people who are fully committed to this style

  • at 3:27, love the trill.

  • Anyone know what trumpet he's using?

  • @peytonjmusic

Looks like a Schilke E3L with some sort of custom/aftermarket bell on it. Sounds/looks a bit bigger than the standard ones do.

  • I love it. Great job

  • Best version

  • ' That will make the ladies scream ' ( Haydn, speaking of the ' surprise ' in the " Surprise " Symphony.

His Trumpet Concerto was composed in 1796. Great performance of Wynton Marsalis.

  • Is there any more fun movement, in any concerto or symphony, to listen to than this? Haydn was the greatest and Wynton.... well alI can say about Wynton is BRAVO!!!

  • this is a young wynton sounding as good if not better playing classical as he does playing jazz....this young trumpet player has a sound that would be hard to duplicate and his technical ability is outstanding.....I guess listening to him makes me realize why I NEVER became a professional trumpet player....this is real TALENT....inherited and developed....true true talent...I am envious, but appreciate this fantastic ability....congrats young wynton

  • if you think this is good you should see him play the carnival of venice. Mind blowing.

  • Man, Wynton with hair.

  • anyone know what mouthpiece that is

  • Thumbs up for conductor's bowtie!

  • at 52 seconds he moves his 3rd slide but never pushes down his 3rd valve.

  • @celphon that's because he is just THAT good......i suppose

  • It's amazing how he always has music memorized in his head.

  • @Frizzyjack well , it IS amazing, but it's hardly uncommon in the realm of classical music and music in general really :p

  • How old was he? And what year was this?

  • 帥氣又利害的小號~黑人演奏家~阿偉

  • brilliant

  • Outstanding playing by Wynton. But the conductor, wow and that bow tie.

  • why is there not a standing ovation? ungrateful bastards

  • I saw play this at the age of 16 and just knew here was a great trumpet player

  • in the first movement:))

  • freakin crazy cadenza:)
