NIce video but I have a question: Ham Radio Deluxe how do I set it up to control my radio outside of my home Wifi are. I say this because I can control HRD with my laptop in the living room And can listen to audio via echolink or other voip service. My radio is a ft-840 connected to a usb CAT interface to a old dell laptop and which intern is connected to the Dlink wireless router Model DIR 615 it has port forwarding and a Virtual server I have comcast cable modem
Great video I see you use a rigblaster for ptt and audio interface and it is controlled by your com port 3. I have a Signalink how is this set up to allow audio and ptt hope you can help. Cheers Mike VK4MSA
We do not have a public IP for many reasons, we don't want non club members remotely controlling our radio hihi! Yes there is a hrd server configuration file that you need to fill out to allow logging into the remote computer. As for being unable to connect make sure all the settings are correct and that if you are being a Firewall/router that you have any needed ports forwarded through.

Do you have to have a public IP?
Do you have to set up a user name and password on both ends?
I set up mine and can not connect remotely.
