I wondered how a backwater state like FL, which has some of the stupidest and most corrupt politicians in the country, could have produced smart guy like Alan Grayson. I have my answer after researching his background. He's from New York City, educated in Cambridge, MA (Harvard). I want this guy for president, not just a lowly Rep. from FL.

There are earmarks from both sides in the spending bill, even from Repubs who had vowed to put a moratorium on earmark spending. Now they're suddenly saying they're going to vote against it.

@patriot473 I think you'll find the tax cut extension has already been passed, including the UI extension which was part of the compromise agreed by the GOP. The spending bill is separate. There are earmarks from both sides in the spending bill, even from Repubs who had vowed to put a moratorium on earmark spending. Now they're suddenly saying they're going to vote against it.

The "recipients" are the firms the Fed bought securities from or the firms the Fed loaned money, in exchange for collateral, and were charged interest.
