  • when somebody builds a time machine, I'll volunteer to try it out, and go back in time to see this concert live.

  • AMAZING!

  • it's a Tam Tam to 1:22

  • I played this in high school with our band and I got to play the timpani - SO MUCH FUN!

  • @aerdna14 i did that too! timpini is so much fun to play on songs like this.

  • @DJairflair Totally, I had a blast!

  • 1:40 Tympani dude was having fun. :)

  • I thought it was spelled Philharmonic, not Filmharmonic

  • @nitrotrigger Fail... it is. FILMharmonic is the title of the concert; they're a Philharmonic orchestra playing FILM music... -___-"

  • @nitrotrigger I think it's a pun intended :P

  • @nitrotrigger if you read the description it says "Royal Philharmonic Orchestra presenting "Filmharmonic" at the Royal Albert Hall in London. 9th May 2009" saying Filmharmonic as the concert they were performing constisted of very famous movie themes

  • I like the guy on the timpani

  • look at the use of the bow!!

  • This is a great video, I'm no expert but I think they played a wrong note at 4:58-4:59. Anybody else see that? Still great music

  • @susheel2k7 They play the right note, it's just overpowered by the lower instruments playing the lower note.

  • 4 people just plain SUCK!

  • 4 people held the Aztec Gold...

  • 4 people are not pirates

  • Filmharmonic. hahaha

  • John Williams > Hans Zimmer, never ever compare the two. Zimmer is great, but he is no Williams

  • @davedirector7 Tough williams as of late just rehashes the Force Theme over and over; hell even in the Harry Potter movies Snape's them has a hint of the imperial march and that's no coincidence. Or you could even argue he's just been rehashing the Superman Movie OST over and over *shrugs* Basil Poledouris was a greater composer for films anyways; he covered a lot more genres than strictly science fiction.

  • If I close my eyes, it's just like I'm back in the Cinema at the Movie On Stranger Tides, or one of the others of course...

  • jhon williams one best music righter ever in classicle music

  • What is the name of the song (or film where I can find this song) which starts at 3:00?

    Thanks :)

  • @Thatbigx u find this song in famous movie pirates of the caribean

  • @darrellrayonroblox thank you :)

  • is that john williams composing?

  • Comment removed

  • What filmharmonic is this?

  • @XXentation Thank for correcting me)

  • Fantastic!

  • końcówka dobra : )

  • @nury49 wszystko dobre :-)

  • TROGDOOOOOOOOOR!!

  • i wish i could come to one of these one day.

  • I like it, but its almost a copy off of the Gladiator soundtrack main theme.

  • I think Klaus Badelt did all the main scores and Hans Zimmer just added some new scores but he kept Klaus Badelts scores.

  • @443thedarkjoker

Hans Zimmer actually composed the main themes for POTC ... they had some trouble in scoring the movie, so Mr. Zimmer wrote a suite including the main theme, but he couldn´t composed the whole soundtrack because he did The Last Samurai at that time ... so Klaus Badelt made a score out of Zimmers themes, i think you can find the suite on youtube, it´s called "Pirates, Day One, 4:56 AM" ^^

  • WHERE'S THE RUM? I WANNA DRINK RUM AND LISTEN TO ME OWN THEME! SHAVVY?

  • @TwilightTLoZ you mean SAVVY?

  • @Elfenlied092 i think he meant to be drunk...

  • 3:03 how BEAUTIFUL! eargasm

  • too fast but amazing nonetheless :)

  • @creaturelover I think it's a bit slow. It needs to be faster paced; more energetic.

  • a bit to fast, but still good :D

  • Wow I manage top watch Filmharmonic on you tubr. Not complaining. Very good. I enjoy it so much.

  • too fast for my liking

  • I've watched most of your vids now (they did a freaking awesome job on the Jurassic Park theme) but this one is differently not a favourite of mine. It starts way to messy and the drums are killing everything. However, at 2:45 it's just magic again!

  • 4:32 just sounds perfect!!!

  • 2:50 is absolutely amazing!

  • first of all I'll say I really enjoyed the other videos you put up so thank you. But this is just really bad. They are playing way too fast and then when they need the speed when "He's a Pirate" begins they've fizzled out and play it too slow. They don't hold the notes long enough. And I am going to kill those drummers, seriously they wash out the strings entirely. It sounds like John Williams conducting a Hans Zimmer piece and not in a good way

  • Oh that part at 0:40 .... not cool to play on the clarinet .Not cool at all xD

Thanks for uploading! I'm really enjoying these Filmharmonic videos :)

  • I like 00:28 - 00:33... sounds so different

  • I know all of the parts, these are all from Curse of the Black Pearl.

  • start from 3:45 , it's the only part i know from the movie

  • God damn I love that trumpet solo

  • This is the most professional performance

  • from 3:45 to the end is my favourite part....

  • One Davy jones follower is tring to come back from deep of sea

  • Whether or not Zimmer was the original composer or not makes no difference. Not only did he conceptualize the final project, reference his past work, "Muppet Treasure Island". The score is errily similar.

  • The main theme was originally composed by

Klaus Badelt while Zimmer helped him with

    additional music and production.

  • Comment removed

  • @Manospetrucci No Zimmer was left with collating the ideas left by Badelt when ever he abandoned the project

it is still very much Zimmer's child

in general the first movie's soundtrack is held together with synths just because of the rushed job that had to be done as badelt left so late in the production process with only ideas on scraps...

  • i think klaus is a genius, zimmer too. but klaus should have been credited for this till the end. he created the anthem for jack sparrow and pirates of the caribbean. yes i said anthem :)

  • @yaelfica mate listen to the gladiator soundtrack and this and you will see klaus copied hans zimmers songs

  • omg, that´s just epic x3

  • 3:00-3:30 is way too fast... It's supposed to be a really romantic part... Super fast is not romantic, or at least not in my book...

  • @MusicOrBust100

If i were a conductor... oh, wait I am... :-) Well I would problably do the same. because of the arrangement is done at that place. But if it was so heroic, I might have done it your way aswell.

  • @jerryberglund Agree with MusicOrBust100 that the One Last Shot motif at 3:00 is way too fast at a part.

Also, the He's a Pirate motif at 3:50 there are many pauses (after every 4 notes when you can hear the bass drum) instead of a flowing piece. The original score did not have such long rests.

Apart from that, it's a good piece!

  • @choofrfreoer Actually, as far as the soundtrack is concerned, it sounds right at some parts, as does the He's a Pirate. They do sound a little fast, I admit, but they do not sound too fast.

  • @ThanatosPhoenix There's always a tendency to rush when nervous even if they are professionals. Besides, the timing is triple time for He's a Pirate. Also, I guess it sounds so disconnected because the trombones/tubas/bassoons aren't playing long bass notes in that motif...

  • 2:15 horns ftw 3:04 chills

  • At 3:04 I thought the conductor was going to dance off his podium.

  • thnx mate greetz from holland

  • WOOOOO

  • Chills down my spine at 3.08 eee

  • Great music, but the woodwinds are getting fidgety! The oboes are having a chat at 1.00. They're probably wishing they played percussion.

  • If I'm not mistaken it was actually Klaus Badelt that wrote the piece and Hans Zimmer adapted it for the film.

  • @randomunavailable Zimmer gets all the credit tho cuz hes beast :) haha

  • @randomunavailable indeed and he's been reusing it in the other films and didn't credit Klaus.

  • OMG! just realized! i was there!

    my mums companys box

3 rows down from the royal box! ;)

    this was imense!

  • hans zimmer ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • @kratozcesar ... not totally exact, Hans zimmer and klaus badelt :°)

  • @kratozcesar actually Klaus Badelt did better work on a pirates score

  • holy crap this is awsome!

  • beautiful, those are the pros

  • greeat

  • not john williams...

  • Thanks for that, I'll correct it.

  • @SailWAKEandBiKE this is jhon williams

  • @darrellrayonroblox

I promise you it's not. It's klaus badelt collaborating with hans zimmer.

  • @SailWAKEandBiKE

And still one of the most populair scores !

  • @SailWAKEandBiKE That is John Williams, this piece in particular, however, was not composed by John Williams.

  • amazing!

  • Fue en el Royal Albert Hall de Londres y fue en mayo del 2009. Gracias por los comentarios en los videos! Que bueno que te gustaron.

  • Wow q padre en donde fue esto??
