Also, the frets were EXTREMELY shallow, which didn't work well with blues, but if you are strictly a jazzer, that might be ideal for you...again, that is on the model with the stoptail and without the binding, from the early 80s.....
i had the early 80s model without the binding and with the stop tailpiece. It was a great guitar, but was really heavy....probably around 10 pounds. That was the only reason I got rid of it. It sounded amazing. From what I understand, the models with the fingers tailpiece are lighter though...
You look like you're enjoying this guitar as much as the sadowsky, perhaps more flexible, and a reasonable jazz tone to boot? Might have to revise your 3 1/2 star rating! Also Dan WIlson mp3s on your website didn't appear to be working. Thanks.
@Stringprodigy That's a 'finger' tailpiece, allows for intonation tweaks (yes the distance behind the bridge makes audible changes) and down-pressure on individual strings' tension.
Great playing! I have a one of the originals fusions from 1981. I like them all.

Hey Jack. Compare the sadowsky with this guitar. Which one is best for jazz?

What's that going on at the end of the guitar? Looks like a mini pan flute!

Great sound. I wished they'd make an exact copy of his p90 equipped black es-150. Easily one of the greatest tones ever.

Now that's a proper jazz hat!
Seriously , awesome tones as usual.
Always wanted one of those HR's but thought I'd surely miss the bridge PU.
