Amen! I have always felt a strong sensitivity to profanity, more than most I think. I want people to realize how corrupt and defiling it really is. We need to speak words of Godliness, not words of the enemy. We need to build each other up, not tear each other down. The Bible is very clear and plain when it says, "Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them" (Eph. 4:29), amongst other verses.
1Pe 4:10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
1Pe 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God;
if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
@zezizzebezt you said that you were not going to watch the video, does that indicate, #1- a true heart of repentance, or does the "LOL" indicate, #2- a corrupt mind from a reprobate who thinks God is mocked and mocks sin? I pray the answer is #1.
Let the Lord be magnified! Have mercy on us sinners Lord Jesus!
This is a message that needs to get out to every christian. Our fellow christians say well ass and damn and hell are in the bible, but i tell them yeah but its used the right way. Not as something to say to try and get a point across. Great video and God bless you all.
Whats worse is being around people who continually cuss with no form of control every other word is the f bomb. When your around it soo much You find yourself watching the words that come out of your mouth because they are now so etched in your mind
God, please, please, please, forgive my careless words. Help me utter only pure words that are pleasing to You, and edifying to those around me. Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable to You, O God! I notice that "words of my mouth" precedes " the meditation of my heart", I doubt that this is accidental on God's part.
Brother David; you always bring to my remembrance so many important truths; i seem to have a built in forgetter and your videos bless and bring correction to my walk with Christ. "words implant pictures" in the hearers mind is so correct and true; that is indeed the power of words!
still hoping you will upload some of your sermons.
Brother David - Thank you for making this wonderful video! I absolutely love it and will share it with many! May this video lead Christians to holiness, redeem the internet for Christ, and maybe even be the law that points some lost ones to Him! Keep up the good work my brother!
If a person in the bible lies, swears, murders, commits adultery it never gives us an excuse to do it.You cannot take a 'narrative passage' to back up you sins. What does God says in the doctrinal passages concerning the mentioned sins.Confess, repent and stop.Grace is never excuse for living in sin or tolerating with what some say are 'little sins".NO SUCH THING IS A LITTLE WHITE LIE !!
WE should never, never, never say sin is a little !! God calls the shots not puny man ! Profanity is disgusting and puts a blight on your testimony and when you cuss are not ttaming the tongue.Video hits the nail on the head.T.O.P. we cannot justify any sin and continue in it.God wants praise not profanity!
Bro. David: Thanks for being faithful to the Lord and posting all these VERY needed videos. So many false Christs out here. All these "new" teachings. Repentance is not popular these days. :( God bless you dear brother.
@TrumpetofPraise The bible records Peter cursing 1 time and that is when he denied Christ which is not funny to me.It records it not endorse it which is a very big difference. He also wanted in a moment of anger cut the ear off a man and Jesus stoped him. Both were wrong and sinful actions. The moment of denial and curses is a tragic moment recorded in the bible.Read the letters written by Peter in them he says'put away all evil speaking'.He got right with God-a changed man after Pentecost.
@mistercommentman Wow! I was just making a point and you wrote a blog. Chill. I meant funny as in odd. If God forgave Peter for his foul mouth, then I don't think Christians have too much too worry about . Is it appropriate or Christian like? No...but nobodies perfect..
2 Ki 18:27 27 Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you? Ah They said Piss
@TrumpetofPraise Be honest the word are used in a literal sense. They did not say you are full of 'BS' or 'YOU PISS ME OFF' both directed at people revealing a bad attitude. You do not set the standard God does and its not a little thing in GODS EYES.Jesus said you will be judged for every 'idle useless, worthless' word!James 3:10"Out of the same mouth come praise and CURSING.MY BROTHERS,THIS SHOULD NOT BE."Paul said 'Let no corrupt speech come out of your mouth."In the bible its no little thing.
@mistercommentman ALL SIN IS HATED BY GOD.Your comments are dealing with the national sins of our country that needs to be repented of.The sins of the tongue are personal sins that also need to be repented of.When the bible command us to 'put off filthy communication' it means what it says.We never hear about cussing again. He stopped! We did not have a bunch of 'cussing ,swearing apostles."Should we compromise with things the Word says is sin? The points in the video are based on the scriptures
@mistercommentman 'we never hear about Peter cussing again".To tell others do not worry about it when the bible makes a big issue about our words is bad advice.Words reveal character do they not.Its what comes out of a mans mouth that defiles the man...thats what Jesus said!
@mistercommentman We have Christians voting for pro-abortion politicians and anti-God politicians and gay-rights politicians and all you all can complain about is if a Christian gets made and spits out a cuss word. Christians have a lot worse problems than cussing. It's Christians who help put one of the most anti-God presidents in our office ever. Christians better wake up and stop worrying about the little things...
@TrumpetofPraise Thank God for Peter and what he said in 1 Peter2:1 "Lay aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and ALL EVIL SPEAKING".1 Peter3:10"He who would love life and see good days let him REFRAIN his tongue from EVIL."I am very glad the Word of God is not soft on sin and I pray like David that 'the words of my mouth would be pleasing in His sight."We better wake up about our own sins and live a life that is consistent with who we say we are.
@GodlyWorship I know alot of Christians and not one of them voted for a pro-abortion,gay-right anti-God politician. If we do our job in living for Jesus and leading the lost to Jesus and voting based on biblical convictions then we can see a difference in society. We should never excuse any sin and any video that points out the sins we should get rid of is alright with me.Cannot excuse gossip, lying and obscene words.they are all sins.
I totally agree that ungodly language is not fitting for Christians... I cannot say I have not been guilty of it when I have been arguing with muslims who abuse me with curses..but I have not done that for a long time, thank God for His Son Who gives us forgiveness.. . good video brother
I must admit using obscene words is something i still struggle with. I realize even though the words do not escape my mouth a lot of the time in public...I still think the words and what is in the darkness must come to light sooner or later.
It is tough to recondition yourself to use different language...I can relate to that. But if we let God truly change our hearts and our lives, these words will not even cross our minds because there will be no anger, resentment, or ungodliness in our hearts. We will praise God in word, thought and deed if our hearts are made clean through Him! Good luck on your journey down the straight and narrow path to Heaven, and God Bless you immensely!
@downtoawhisper I have a problem with profanity b/c I struggle with depression, and while this is not common, I'm sure others have it too. Its just sometimes, we do things we hate to do, we don't mean to, but when it comes to words, when you are like me, and sometimes are half asleep when you are talking (no joke), they do slip out, its not b/c I'm not trusting or seeking God. I pray everyday that God will give me a new coping skill. I know it will, but its not quick when its lasting change.
But above all, prayer is the best solution. Pray for help in temptation, whether the temptation to swear, lust for, etc. God saves. God helps. God loves. Amen
Also, ive found the best way to stop cursing is to stop thinking it in your head. Instead of an fbomb, use a dang. And once you stop thinking swearing words in your head, then it will be easier to abstain from blurting them out. ...that goes for pornography too.
To live is Christ, and to die is gain. Let us all be holy in His sight, and "His sight" means ALL THE TIME. What do foolish swearing have to do with us Christians? We are of Christ, and the words are of death. God bless
Ephesians 4:29 and Colossians 3:8. We must remember that we HAVE to speak what is pure, and what is unpure is of the devil. And anyone of the devil will not be with Christ. Ive gotta say, just like anyone else, im in Highschool, and about to be a senior, and of course since middle school cussing was a fad, and still is. But eversince God showed me what is pure, cussing is of no use to me.
@JeshuaLivingWord Thank you for your wonderful testimony! Great to hear from a serious-minded teen who seeks to please the Lord in every area of life.Bro.David.
@aflame4God No problem, God uses everyone from an old man to a child. His testimony is seen in all places where there are people to show it. God bless you too.
I agree with you brother David. But in James 3:v.8 It says this: But no man can tame the tongue. It is unruly, evil, full of deadly poison. And in James 8 again, v. 10 It says this: Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things aught not be so. From my (NKJV) New King James Bible.
@LizzielovesJC It is through the grace and power of the Holy Spirit and obedience to 'put off' all godly words that we can conquer the sins of the tongue. Its our personal responsiblity to bridle the tongue but we are not alone in the process.God bless you.We can do all things thru Christ who gives us supernatural strength to stop all forms of 'cussing'.Phil4:13!
@LizzielovesJC Bless you sister i was just responding to your question concerning the James passage you quoted giving you my thoughts on it.Thats all.Was very calm in commenting..just was trying to shed light on your question on the passage.LOL.sorrry if you thought i was upset.Have a great week in the Lord.Bro.David.Peace be unto you.
Appreciate your vids and saw your Mom's channel the other day. She befriended us. What a sweet person! God still has a master paln for her! You should post her channel on your vid for others to befriend and encourage her! God bless you and your family! Elizabeth
i am guilty of the same....it is good to be reminded what is truly bad in the eyes of the Trinity......was thinking the other day...i will be judged by what comes out of my mouth.......for i have let my mouth be corrupted...it must stop...i do not wish to be dark like all those around me....i want to be in Gods Light....David..me and mine will pray for your mother.....tom.
IMPORTANT! God's Word is not only a living & interacting revelation of his Love & Plan for us, as it has ALSO been given to us with Prophetic Insights about future events. These events hold GREAT SIGNIFICANCE, which is why God sternly warned us to "Be alert" for the signs that precede them. SEEK NOW for the sign's God purposefully revealed to us through his Son Jesus & the holy prophets who contributed to God's written Word. Present events directly relate to the signs of Jesus' Return. REJOICE!
It's bad enough hearing foul talk when I'm at work......but then when I hear other Christians speak that way, it's like walking through garbage. This vid is a good reminder of what God expects of those who profess to love and follow Him! God bless you bro........good work here!
cool vid ,so funny i got to see this today ,iam a logger and i ride in a truck to work with 5 guys and it kind of rubs its way into you if your not careful ,and today i got called on the way i was joking around with the guys and claiming to be christian and at first i was angry, but instantly realized they were correct even though they wernt out for my best interest i realized iam to live right and serve the Lord and show others how a christian should act and talk. well no more text room Godbless
Beautifully made video, Pastor! Thank you for your work for Christ on YouTube!
Sadly, our children today are exposed to more than enough of filthy talk, filthy innuendos, filthy everything it seems, from the moment they open their eyes!
May the Holy Spirit be the comfort your Mom needs in this her hour of need! 2 Cor. 1:3-7 promises just that!
great video brother....I was a foul mouthed ex-sailor drowning in sin when the LORD gave me his grace and brought me to him....now I cannot stand it when someone "cusses" around me...the first cuss word in a movie and I am out of there !!!watch what you listen to and where you go..it affects the heart and what comes out of the mouth comes from the heart...if you are cussing or talking filth..what does that say about your heart...ask JESUS to cleanse you and he will
@TheMrBlackCrow Great testimony brother! And you are so very right. The vulgar vile words in Movies and TV DO EFFECT THE MIND!! Like you I avoid it like the plague. It offends me and the Lord.I am not entertained by profanity and crude cussing flowing out of the mouths of godless actors and celebrities!I want to drink in fresh water not muddy water!Bro.David.
@TheMrBlackCrow I agree, you have a great testimony. Please share it with others. Many do not think it filth and wrong. I've heard (some in the Body of Christ) say it "depends on where it's said and how it's said". Cussing is cussing no matter who says it, where it's said or how. It's the opposite of "blessing".
Praise ABBA ADONAI ELOHIM. Praise MESSIAH Y'SHUA. Amen. Very powerful message, in both part 1 & 2. I hope you continue with more parts although I wish we didn't need to even have a part 1. Thank you brother David for this share, we need to all recall a potty mouth isn't just cuss words but all words that hurt, cut, or degrade hurt the Holy Spirit who is suppose to dwell inside each Christian. Y'SHUA bless you always, brother. <(^8
What is most sad, is that the ones who claim to be Christians and let filthy words spew out their mouths, will justify themselves. They are the ones who have their hearts filled with darkness and rebellion. We were taught by Christ to build others up. Filthy words is corruption. It does not build others up. It tears down. These so-called cussing Christians need to be delivered from the darkness, they need Jesus, they need prayer. They need to be set free.
What a great video.Well done my brother. We as christians must ALWAY'S live in holy conduct and godliness everyday of our lives.I put this on my channel screen.May the LORD alway's use you to establish his glorious kingdom.JESUS bless youe heart.
Our society has ceased to be civil and polite and all good manners have been discarded ! This is seen by the constant use of profanity and now it seems that Christians freely use it and excuse it as normal ! Every Christian can overcome this sin and stop using corrupt communication as commanded in Eph.4:29!!
I was a foul mouthed "Christian" for 40 years. I raised my kids with "F" bombs. At least I was forgiven...right? Reading His word& asked God to lead me in truth, He showed me I must do the impossible. STOP THAT SINNING! God helped me break free from the chains of cuss'in and many other sins. I was dead in my sin, and Through Christ, I was set free to live in light! AMEN! It is God's desire for us to have victory over sin through Christ! NOT verbally, but from the heart. Ask and it will be given.
@1260days Jesus sets us free from sin! Great comments and this is a battle worth fighting and winning. It hurts our testimony when we 'cuss' and use foul langauge. It can be eliminated completely from our lives! Thank you for your insights.Bro.David.
@1260days Hallelujah! All glory be to our Heavenly Father, for he alone, through his son Jesus Christ, has opened the door of eternal life for us. This opened door, which God guided us to knock upon, allows & enables us to repent & be cleansed of our sin & in turn, to be reconciled with our Lord.
Thanks for posting this video my Brother David & thanks to you as well 1260days for sharing your testimony, as it truly voices just how possible, God can make what is impossible for man.
@1260days Amen! If God's word truly abides in our hearts, our desires begin to line up with HIS. Sooner or later (as we yeild to His will), we will want to lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us and begin to speak as the oracles of God. He is able to change our very nature because there is NOTHING too hard for God. However, we have to surrender and invite His Divine Help before He will step in and do what He do. ;- D
It's really an abomination & there's no doubt we have become confortable with it. ABBA help not grieve your Holy Spirit. Deliver us from obscene language & let our leaps bring fourt the fruits you deserve.
Good, straight to the point, video!! Matthew 12:36,37 And I tell you this, that you must give account on Judgment Day for every idle word you speak. 37 Your words now reflect your fate then: either you will be justified by them or you will be condemned."
This is an area of my life I have been continually working on, and will be working on for a long time I am certain, always been something I have struggled with. Partially because I had a very traumatizing childhood, and profanity among other things like anorexia, cutting, and physically hurting others was how I coped, I had overcome the profanity for a while, but once I weeded out the other issues, it came back as a stress coping mechanism, and now I am struggling to root it out daily.
35 - Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, "What hath the LORD answered?" and, "What hath the LORD spoken?"
36 - And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God.
Phil 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
PROVERBS SAYS...'Life and death are in the power of the tongue'.Profanity and cussing is destructive and sinful. Time to clean up on the inside and outside! Purity in our words not profanity!
12 Speak and act as those who will be judged by a law that gives freedom. . . 14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but does not have works? Can this kind of faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacks daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, keep warm and eat well,” but you do not give them what the body needs, what good is it? (James 2:12, 14-16..............God Bless.
This is something that confused me when I was an atheist...I saw so many Christians that did the same things I did and said the same things I said. And now that I am a Christian I see even more people acting like those "in the world".
Very intresting video. It what comes out of mouth that shows what lies inside us. That why we need to pray constantly for a pure clean heart in front of the Lord. I will admit I say words I shoudn't say at times and I'm not proud of it. I need God to help me with this. Also there are people who used kind words but have intentions in there hearts for the person to be hurt badly as well. I believe the intention in our heart is important as well.
At times we may have hidden intentions in our hearts as well beside for the fact of giving Glory to God. That why we should pray for our intentions in our hearts to be pure as well. I know I'm not perfect with this as well and at times I think over my intentions in my heart and realized I sometimes do be having hidden intentions in my heart beside pleasing God which shouldn't be in my heart.
@Heavenfirst Excellent comments as always and very thoughtful and very true.We must guard our hearts with all diligence and be careful what we allow in our minds! The pure Word of God will renew and refresh and cleanse our minds!
Some people have no respect for others and will 'cuss and curse so casually' in a simple conversation! Others say to me 'pardon my French' which means watch out I AM ABOUT TO USE PROFANITY.OUR EARS AND OTHERS EARS ARE NOT GARBAGE CANS TO DUMP out filthy speech into.Victory over this will never be acheived unless we obey these commadment, see it as sin and ask for the help of GODS SPIRIT!
This is a wonderful video. I must confess that I am trying really hard to quit cussing. I know it's discusting and that it grieves the Precious Holy Spirit, and I hate it for that. A woman once told me that people are like toothpaste. Whenever they're squozen, whatever comes out of their mouth is what flavour they are. I wish I could say that I'm 100% GOD flavoured all the time. But that would be a lie, and that's another sin, and another video away. Praise You Sweet Jesus help us not to cuss.
Brother David Great video! I was just out on the weekend and it sickens me to hear all the fowl language used in conversations as it was nothing to people! It sounds so aweful I pray people wake up Clean up there mouths and there ways of living! We all sin No one is sinless but Jesus But when we do we take it to our Father and ask for forgiveness and pray not to do it I know we grow spiritually ! Everyone falls sometimes Also I am praying for your Mother! And your Family Love YSIC~Paula
The definitions of corrupt and filthy says it all ! Cussing is wrong and we should never forget that it says it must be 'put off'. This means stop it ! A video to remember and fav. as a reminder!
Many think their cussing is a minor issue.NOT SO SAYS THE SCRIPTURES! Words are a part of who we are and if our words are offensive we need to change and be more serious about this.Sinning with what we say needs to be repented of just like any other sin! Grieving the Holy Spirit is serious and corrupt communication grieves Him!
So very true! Psalms 19:14 "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer." May we always glorify Jesus Christ in everything we say!!
Excellent video, very well put. I haven't arrived yet but He is still working on me.Thanks for keeping this before us so we can know what His will is for us concerning our tongues. Proverbs 6 also tell us the things that God hates and that are an abomination to Him and the tongue is involved . This is so important because our words have power.
Are we true believers?Do we really want to please God?If we say yes we need to be obedient and minister grace not filth. The stench of swearing and foul words surround us..but let us make sure that the stench is not out of our own mouths.Educational ,practical and helpful.
Firstly, I'm by no means defending foul language. It's sin, and I agree with the biblically based exhortation in this vid. When I get angry, I speak words that I need to repent from, and by the grace of God, as I'm more and more sanctified, I become more aware of it and allow it to happen less and less. We're certainly to honor the Lord with our words. However, I find a couple of the comments here to be a bit self-righteous.
2) The reason being, that the moment a Christian who doesn't commit a particular sin condescends to those who do with the "that's so immature!" attitude, and the "that's just SO unacceptable!" attitude, I wonder if they've forgotten that there are sins in their own life that those who have cleaned up their language do not commit. So, their evaluation of "immaturity" or "unChristian" behavior could easily be turned back on them.
3) Let's not forget that the Lord knows every sinful thought and intent of our hearts. Those who don't use foul language certainly do have sinful thoughts and intents, even on occasion, whether they be pride, self-righteousness, lust, selfishness, hatred, envy, etc. What's the difference? That one is outward and easily able to notice and critique, while one is inward and easy to hide from others? Sin is sin, whether it be in thought, word or deed. Anyway, thanks for the vid. Good post.
@enslaved2God Excellent points you make.I agree, as for now I am dealy with scriptures concerning our speech, which "many connect"with the heart and mind. What comes out is what defiles us.That why I like the verse'let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Your sight".I once taught a series on sinful attitudeslike envy, malice, hatred etc.-those hidden areas that no one sees but God sees.No such thing as secret sin.Heb4:13.We must morify all of them.Bless you friend.
I struggle with this one slightly. I don't actually say anything bad. I hold my tongue and as far as most people can tell, my heart is pleasant and pure and totally devoted to Jesus. But sometimes, the vile bitterness that is still in my heart; I still agonize over with God in prayer seeking to be purified. Because it's not enough to be pure on the outside. We must have a pure heart.
Bro. David, I LOVE this video!!! Ever since watching Part 1 I have become very much aware of what comes out of my mouth. I do not cuss in the sense that the world lables cussing, but after seeing these videos I realize that I subsitiue words for the what is considered cussing.. For instance, I will say Oh fudge, gosh darn or Oh my gosh. I am beginning to get the picture. It is becoming clearer everyday.and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your efforts in this arena. You are barave
Years ago this was not a problem.Seems if we watch and hear filthy communication on TV and go see Movies with so much cursing and listen to music that every other word is some foul demeaning cuss word that it will come out of our mouth.Garbage in,garbage out! The 'washing of the water of the Word' is what we need.I really liked this video. Will step on alot of toes but we need it! Thumbs up.!
EXCELLENT VIDEOS # 1 & 2....IN MY FAVORITES...I TOO PRAY THAT THESE WILL CONVICT AND REPROOF THOSE WHO ARE SLIPPING REGARDING THEIR LANGUAGE. THERE ARE LITERALLY MILLIONS OF WORDS TO EXPRESS ONES SELF WITHOUT RESORTING TO FOUL LANGUAGE...WE MUST ALSO WATCH WHAT WE WATCH...SOME CARTOONS ON TELEVISION HAVE PROFANE LANGUAGE IN THEM AND THEY ARE DEEMED AS CUTE, FUNNY...THERE IS NOTHING FUNNY ABOUT THE LANGUAGE THAT IS USED ON THOSE PROGRAMS...GUARD YOUR EAR GATE AND YOUR EYE GATE!
@MumzyTube Ungodly slang, cussing and profanity is like polluting smog that fills the air in this evil world! As the saints of God we are called to live a life different and seperate from this world. If we 'talk 'just like the ones we witness to they will lose respect for us! People do notice'what we say'...they are watching us since we say we are Christians.Bless you MUMZY!!!
I LOVE ALL THE SCRIPTURES AND DEFINITIONS .It was a fine lesson on how we are commanded to stop the cussing and think before we speak.Hope this is shared and goes viral. We are resonsible for every word we speak.
The pictures speak volumes and the scriptures really do tell us to deal with this and not to excuse it.Cussing is rotten and it is a sin and should never proceed out of our mouths! Many are very careless about what they say! Profanity is never acceptable ! 5 stars!
thank you for part 2 im glad to have it in my playlist,i still have a problem in this area but its getting a little better each time...tahnk you JESUS!
Excellent video! 5 stars! Swearing is just immature. It totally makes me feel uncomfortable around a person who curses. It also makes them look very, very foolish as well and uneducated. It is dishonoring to God who wants us to keep our speech clean and pure. Clean speech is attractive, while vulgar speech is a definite turn off. We absolutely need to watch what we say!!! Awesome video!!!
O how I pray that the Lord will use this video to change someones life.I am hoping that this will be shared with many, for the problem of profanity is worldwide among professing Christians and of course those who do not know Christ. The air is filled with filty talk and corrupt and perverse speech!! We must represent Jesus in our conduct and conversations!! Let our speech be pleasing to the Lord! Bro.David.
A very thoughful to the point video that says alot.As Christians we have to speak words of edification not words of cursing. How 'cussing' has become common among believers is beyond imagination. If you do not see it as a sin then you need to search your soul.A godly tongue is what we need. It disturbs me to hear 'anyone' cuss...but when a believer swears it is very grievous to me!
It cannot get any clearer than those two words 'corrupt' and ''filthy'....we MUST GET RID OFF any words that fit in that category!! We can never tolerate perverse speech in our lives and we should correct those who use profanity and claim to know Jesus!
This should convince every Christian to clean up their conversation and stop cussing.Alot of people just need to get honest about their corrupt ,rotten talk and repent.CONVICTING VIDEO!!! 5 STARS AND A FAVORITE!! THUMBS UP !!
What is wrong with you

@JesusIsLordForever God bless you sister and your comments are excellent .No excuse for profanity if we are seeking to live a holy life.Bro.David.

@JesusIsLordForever
actually it just says do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouth only what is helpful for building others up.
as for cussing, i say its fine as long as you try not to use it to offend someone.
But if someone gets offended by the fact i swear, they need to get over themselves cuz its not about them.
Paul makes it clear we are not on this Earth to please other people,
This is just my opinion but i think we all have our different views on this verse
hunter7754 4 months ago
@JesusIsLordForever
Even the Bible uses coarse language in certain passages 2 emphasize its point
Also in that verse with paul,Im pretty sure he was referring to condemning people & making unfair judgments about them
But like i said, thats just me
i know theres probably a lot of people that are gonna disagree with me.
plus i'm not gonna say swearing is okay but i'm gonna say, we invented swear words..
we chose to make them mean wrong things
like i said though, i understand if u disagree with me

A very good video sermon that a lot of people who name the name of Christ need to hear. The Lord bless you and your work for the kingdom!

Isn't if funny at how the Bible talks about Peter cussing all the time and fishing naked? He even cursed when he denied Christ.
TrumpetofPraise 1 year ago
@TrumpetofPraise The bible records Peter cursing 1 time and that is when he denied Christ which is not funny to me.It records it not endorse it which is a very big difference. He also wanted in a moment of anger cut the ear off a man and Jesus stoped him. Both were wrong and sinful actions. The moment of denial and curses is a tragic moment recorded in the bible.Read the letters written by Peter in them he says'put away all evil speaking'.He got right with God-a changed man after Pentecost.
mistercommentman 1 year ago 6
@mistercommentman Wow! I was just making a point and you wrote a blog. Chill. I meant funny as in odd. If God forgave Peter for his foul mouth, then I don't think Christians have too much too worry about . Is it appropriate or Christian like? No...but nobodies perfect..
2 Ki 18:27 27 Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you? Ah They said Piss
TrumpetofPraise 1 year ago
@TrumpetofPraise Be honest the word are used in a literal sense. They did not say you are full of 'BS' or 'YOU PISS ME OFF' both directed at people revealing a bad attitude. You do not set the standard God does and its not a little thing in GODS EYES.Jesus said you will be judged for every 'idle useless, worthless' word!James 3:10"Out of the same mouth come praise and CURSING.MY BROTHERS,THIS SHOULD NOT BE."Paul said 'Let no corrupt speech come out of your mouth."In the bible its no little thing.
mistercommentman 1 year ago 8
@mistercommentman ALL SIN IS HATED BY GOD.Your comments are dealing with the national sins of our country that needs to be repented of.The sins of the tongue are personal sins that also need to be repented of.When the bible command us to 'put off filthy communication' it means what it says.We never hear about cussing again. He stopped! We did not have a bunch of 'cussing ,swearing apostles."Should we compromise with things the Word says is sin? The points in the video are based on the scriptures
mistercommentman 1 year ago 11
@mistercommentman 'we never hear about Peter cussing again".To tell others do not worry about it when the bible makes a big issue about our words is bad advice.Words reveal character do they not.Its what comes out of a mans mouth that defiles the man...thats what Jesus said!
mistercommentman 1 year ago 7
@mistercommentman We have Christians voting for pro-abortion politicians and anti-God politicians and gay-rights politicians and all you all can complain about is if a Christian gets made and spits out a cuss word. Christians have a lot worse problems than cussing. It's Christians who help put one of the most anti-God presidents in our office ever. Christians better wake up and stop worrying about the little things...
TrumpetofPraise 1 year ago

@LoveCompassionPurity

God saves. God helps. God loves. Amen
JeshuaLivingWord 1 year ago 3

Those two verses really confuses me sometimes.

However, I find a couple of the comments here to be a bit self-righteous.
enslaved2God 1 year ago 6
2) The reason being, that the moment a Christian who doesn't commit a particular sin condescends to those who do with the "that's so immature!" attitude, and the "that's just SO unacceptable!" attitude, I wonder if they've forgotten that there are sins in their own life that those who have cleaned up their language do not commit. So, their evaluation of "immaturity" or "unChristian" behavior could easily be turned back on them.
enslaved2God 1 year ago 6

The pictures speak volumes and the scriptures really do tell us to deal with this and not to excuse it.Cussing is rotten and it is a sin and should never proceed out of our mouths! Many are very careless about what they say! Profanity is never acceptable ! 5 stars!

Matthew633Mom 1 year ago 4
It cannot get any clearer than those two words 'corrupt' and ''filthy'....we MUST GET RID OFF any words that fit in that category!! We can never tolerate perverse speech in our lives and we should correct those who use profanity and claim to know Jesus!
GodlyWorship 1 year ago 2
This should convince every Christian to clean up their conversation and stop cussing.Alot of people just need to get honest about their corrupt ,rotten talk and repent.CONVICTING VIDEO!!! 5 STARS AND A FAVORITE!! THUMBS UP !!
