  • RUINED my graduation day. I worked myself through college for 6+ years and this is what it all led up to... :(

  • @teched246: (3) was a more publicized way of advocating against student loans for the future students who's hands are most certainly forced into taking out these loans. Are you really trying to make the point that in order to obtain an employment position that pays higher than the minimum wage, one does not need any sort of education? You said no one forced your (plural) hand. Please; the system forced OUR hands. The system is broken and is in need of reparation.

  • @teched246: (2) ment is. Clearly those who are burdened by student debt didn't expect their debts to be wiped clean as a result of the action, that is just silly and full of nonsense. For you to think that, that in fact is what we had in mind, shows your inability to reason, aside from the fact that you mentioned 'rapture'. Get real. I don't know who you heard speaking in tongues either, please address the specific time of that happening in the video.

I hope now you will understand that this

  • @teched246: You're right, the most appropriate thing that can be done is to educate more individuals on student loans, the way they function, and the outcome: the student debt crisis. I understand the loans are taken out by the students themselves, but it most certainly is not a result of the "american dream" being dangled in front of us. The so-called "american dream" is so abstract, I'd like to know your definition of it, quite honestly so maybe I can understand what the purpose of your state-

  • @michellemolotov If you guys were really in the spirit of "taking action" -- you know...revolution -- all that anger and fervor would be channeled into giving the next generations of indentured servants a "heads up"...right? Don't take out loans... cripple the system. Sooner or later something's gotta give.

  • @Dmart38: The demonstration organized and carried out by the GRADUATING CLASS was silent. The graduating class had no control over the audience's reaction to WPUNJ's keynote speaker. Moreover, your reference to William Paterson, "But then again it's William Paterson. No surprise there," is indeed correct. We are an institution of working class students and families, and the Christie administration has attacked the working class.

I'm glad you found there to be, "No surprise there" .

  • This isn't a silent protest.

But then again it's William Paterson. No surprise there

  • @hutt359: (2) Considering that is the only thing you can offer, a rant from someone who cannot offer a groundbreaking solution to the actual issue at hand, which I am sure you still do not know. As far as you are concerned, the problem is "spoiled brats." Continue your futile existence, for you certainly lack the ability to reason and have nothing to offer. You will continue to go unnoticed and you most certainly will not be missed.

  • @hutt359: It is evident you have had a faulty education and that is what we, "a bunch of spoiled brats", are advocating against. Your futile opinion thus far, has accomplished nothing for society. At your best, you can only spew the words, "bunch of spoiled brats....and are looking at a democrat future of non-jobs," in order to describe us (perfect grammar by the way).

We are well aware of the elementary facts you have stated which is why we took action. You, however, can continue your rant.

  • @michellemolotov Took action against what, exaclty? What have you guys achieved by heckling a puppet? YOU -- yes YOU -- took out the loans in pursuit of the "american dream" dangled in front of you; no one forced your hand. No amount of booing and speaking in tongues is going to pay off those debts, are they ? The folks who created and run the system could'nt care less if a few indoctrinated brats whine from now till rapture...at the end of the day you're still an indentured servant.

  • Bunch of spoiled brats who have no clue about the real world, and are looking at a democrat future of non-jobs.

Fact, 85% of college grads in the US today are unemployed, or working at a min wage job not related to their degree. only 5% graduate with a degree related job. and 80+% are still, or will be, living at home with their parents.
