  • do you have any idea how fucking awesome that is? can i have one for my birthday? that would so put the science fair in the win for sure

  • very good idea!!! congrats from me....

you could make it more extreme...some suggestions...:

1 make a plexy glass box and put it inside...

2 install a LED fan @ ur radiator...

    3 buy UV Water cables

    4 buy UV light

    5 buy UV liquid

6 match the colours (for example Uv light with red led fan red water cables etc.) the cost i aprox. 40-50$ enjoy!

  • wow is that a laser or some kind of alien device

  • Whoa, really nice work man! Thats awesome!

  • This Song sounds like a Mash up of "I am Legend" by White Zombie and "Flies in the Vaseline" by Stone Temple Pilots.

Just listen to the melody he is singing and tell me it doesnt sounds like "Flies in the vaseline we are.... And the guitar chords and rhythm that they are played in are a straight I am legend rip. Im gonna make a mashup of the two songs and reply to this post with it.

  • @disnukka79 as a matter of fact if you find a vid of I am legend and start at the part where he sings "Pour the Gasoline and burn the fucker clean... you will hear exactly what Im talking about

  • yes, but will it blend?

  • nice cool system, but was it necessary for that power of a laser, since you were willing to put your camera in line with it. I'm guessing it must not be all that powerful

  • YEH GHETTO ENGINEERING 101 CLASS!!! i found the course , they told me didnt exist!!!

  • nice work man

  • cooooooolllllll

  • i'll be damn..rock music that actuallY ROCKS...a band that forthe most part actually sounded like they stood out from the rest of the rock bands. creed. good taste a classic.

  • Now make a handheld version.

    *Challenge Accepted*

  • wats d song?

  • a kit would been cheaper... and better looking...

  • what the fuck is with the creed music?

  • Great work!!!! I've build one for my pc, but it's not half great!

  • i made something even cruder than that and works at 7C idle on a mild OC celeron 3066

here's some pics in nice detail in case anyone wants to replicate

  • what is that radiator from or where did you get it ?

  • how about a chiller for a fish tank? low cost solution to at least lower temps to 23degrees celcius. does not consume more than 50 w :D

  • good job. Similar way I home made cooled my xbox 360. Check out my vid.

  • SO ghetto hahah

  • So how much power did you manage to squeeze out of that? I reckon it's a DVD burner diode?

  • this is really cool great job

  • fuck this...

  • thats sick but why does the laser need to be cooled

  • @DJDREKEN well its not about saving the money its about the learning

  • @05guyver he obviously doesn't see the joy in experiencing new things and the feeling you get knowing our parts will perform how you built them, or even if they don't, you will learn for next time. This is AWESOME. I was looking to build my own and this is by far the best. GREAT idea coiling that copper piping, was this the radiator? its difficult to see what is what in the video, but this did inspire my build to use coiled copper similar to that. question, whats the laser light for?

  • @MatthewTelles yes it a radiator is out of a 02 honda Odyssey van its in the air cleaner box to heat the air befor it gets to the engine the laser was just a fun build no real purpose

  • @MatthewTelles oops its out of a 00 odyssey

  • @MatthewTelles Many people are too lazy to do something exciting like this.

  • @DJDREKEN its always fun to experiment with electronics otherwise you dont learn anything

  • @DJDREKEN i like a challenge

  • @DJDREKEN how about stop beying a clone and actualy build something unique with your own hands... if it works and if it has a function then u get a bonus cookie

If i had tons of money i would still build my own from scratch just to beat the "toys" they sell to "normal" ppl

  • @DJDREKEN it's about seeing if you can do it.. any putz can buy this stuff..

  • @DJDREKEN building things is fun and gives you pride in what you have made. also you can make exactly the style / function you want, and you don't need to rely on some company for repairs or instructions.

or maybe it was just a weekend.

  • @DJDREKEN I would honestly rather spend my time building something, than working.

  • I smell galvanic corrosion

  • use artic silver 5 thermal compound its the best iv ever tested

  • @testdirver

    you know nothing @#$@

  • @testdirver yeah.. you fail

  • @testdirver If your going to insult his work at least use some grammar.

  • The best way to cool water is to freeze it at fast as possible.then ,when the ice melts, use it as drinking water or as now in Moscow,Russia.,to cool your bodies.I know because of the unexpected heat and humidity. goes for Finns and Swedes too---not as hot though...only 35 centigrade...Downn to 28---I am freezing---

  • Metal Rules!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice mini rad

  • watch out that might give you aids ...

  • finally... a computer video with good music... Im sick of the techno shit on others

  • Laser power?

  • clicking another random video and again - fckng rock music. You guys like herd of rams, do you even tried to listen another music? I believe next video from another guy will be with the same music.

  • @uscmstormdog

Well, some people don't like hardcore screamo metal and some people don't like rap/hip-hop. Get over it.

  • @dos195 Exactly!

  • so what's with the laser?

  • nice work

  • 0:31 looks like engine mounts LOL

  • is that cooler from a refrigiator?? o:

  • @plazzax lazer

  • oh,ok. but how does that thing work?, if it's an lazer??

  • for anyone that doesnt know, high powered lasers such as this one, get very hot! so this guy watercooled which was quite in genious!

  • lol i love how ppl put rock songs on these types of vids... its like alright everyone..... get ready 2 HEAD BANG to a common collection of house hold items i put in a slideshow!!!!!!!!!! HARD CORE!!!

  • Well Said.

  • @darknova1992 lmfao

  • good job its cool ha

  • HA pun!

  • what are you cooling?

  • a laser

  • @culolargopp lazer

  • If you use some thermal compound (it sounds cheesy but J-B Weld works well) between the copper coil and the laser housing you should be able to get more efficiency out of it.

  • 4 fingers for all that copper tubing huh??

  • what does the water cooler

  • @JohanLiiToo lazer

  • Good job, bending copper tubing at that angle is not easy.

  • Man i swear it sais creed when the video begins, shows how people pay attention to things.

  • and where did you get all of that i need one for a proyect.

  • how much money did you spend for do this?

  • pleez tel me.. wats the song.. :(

  • u my friend are very creative

  • I love at home projects like that. 20+ kudos mr guyver =]

  • What song is that?

  • Creed - Are You Ready, from their "Human Clay" album.

  • Thanks alot mate

  • why a LAZER? its unusual to have a lazer to have water cooling....did you really need to do it?

  • It is not as unusual for a laser to have watercooling. These expensive high performance ones can break down if they are not cooled enough.

  • im just saying that i didnt think it got that hot,

so he didnt haved to mimic me, if he thought that my comment was stupid or wrong he could have just said it not be immature about it. oh and way to go on the name joke, its just a name

  • ok fuck u, i just didnt think that laser got that hot, if it did u could have just said so

  • first you make a stupid comment

and then you say "fuck you" because people say they doubt you know what you're talking about?

    you ARE a crackman

  • i highly doubt that that laser gets that hot

  • I highly doubt you know what your talking about.

  • how powerful is ur laser?

  • lol :P

  • what the

  • is it possible to run a radiator and recovery bottle inside a fridge or freezer without getting too much condensation?

  • if you submerge your pc in oil and cool the with a radiator inside a refrigerator.

  • What are you useing to circulate the water through the radiator?

  • a pump

  • A water cooled laser! Interesting.

  • Very Awesome!!!

  • it looks like liqoide nitrogen in a spray

  • HOW THE HELL IS IT UNDER ROOM TEMP!

  • ha thats extremely cool. that a T.E.C or Peltier based thermal plate?

I like using a secondary power supply for the T.E.C coolers.

Once back in the day i had a 375W TEC i pulled out of a caddy cooler.

Ha burned it out cause i didn't know what i was doing.

    was like 15. haha.

  • this is gay i can cool water with my dick

  • lol same here. My dick is an adhesive to pussy though. I don't bother on cooling water ahahah

  • lol @ adhesive.

  • loools

  • So your dick is ice cold and when someone touches it , it breaks?

    cool!

  • lolwut

  • Nice, but useless, also a TEC will do better since it can go below room temperature.

Useless because small diodes when overdriven don't fail because of heat, they blow of the facet when the photon flux is too high.

Cooling will only get you longer operating lifetime and will shift the wavelength down (only a bit).

  • for a laser!!

comon man u can use that for a car!!

  • no u couldn't and if so ur car would overheat alot!

  • -.-" ... man you have no sense of humor...

  • yes i do but what is funny about a wrong fact

  • the sarcasme :)

  • wow u are a fag!

  • lol nice metilllca

  • We used to make copper coils like that to use model aeroplane engines in boats, needed to use salt in the pipe to stop it kinking when it was bent, took ages to rinse out afterwards. Very tidy little rig you have made, well done.

  • Nice cooling design, you can further cool it by creating 2 coils at half the size you currently have (back to back). Split the tube from pump to coils with half constriction in each, place the entrance to center of both coils. The exit of coils (which now are the top and bottom of laser) merge back into one tube and into radiator. This makes the coils act similar to the radiator in dispersing the heat into the water. Just a thought.

  • High-powered laser = heat...

  • oh so this laser can burn thru metel and plastic

  • metal? lol XD

    no wai

  • Out of interest why did you opt to pull air through the rad? I have always found with one fan, pushing air is better, and pulling should only be used in a push pull scenario. Try push pull on the rad - could pull temps down a bit :D

  • emceebisgit: Actually, pulling air is better than pushing, pushing means you are preheating the air due to the fan's own heating problems before it actually goes into the radiator, while pulling the air, the air isn't heated by the fan's mechanism. Put your hand right up against a normal house fan's rear and it'll actually feel quite cooler than the front (it has to be pretty close because of compression reasons).

  • thats true, but you also have less force on the air due to the force being after a "barrier" So while with push you do pick up a bit of heat from the fan, a tiny amount, this is smaller than the positive effect you recieve from greater airflow through the rad. this is just what i have found in my various loops - in any case the differance is minimal.

  • That actually doesn't hold up...the force is identical whether you are pushing into an obstruction or pulling out of one. But if we must go through this, look at any heatsink in a computer and you'll notice the fans are a pull-type..this isn't just a coincidence. You are right that it is minimal in heat variance, but when working with certain types of equipment and experiments, 0.001 degrees could throw off your entire operation.

  • hmm im not sure. pulling air through an obstruction causes more turbulance, which would disrupt the flow more before the force, pushing air then that still happens but in the exhuast, so not disrupting. Its a silly point to argue as the difference is minimal :) i didnt meant to cause offense.

  • it also causes a low pressure area so less air to collect the heat

  • Metallica - The Unforgiven.

  • You get a few of them on a cold plate and those thing dont run off much. A few switch modes and they will work fine. They run off of low voltage high current. You can run them off 120 ac. If I had the doe I would convert my 40 watt green laser to solid state cooling. Save allot of space.

  • what song????

  • cool

  • Bro get rid of the radiator and use a cold plate with a thermoelectric cooler . the thermoelectric coolers and cold plates are on ebay.

  • TEC coolers should only be used for benching unless you want some fat ass ekectric bill.

  • lol benching for a laser, how does that work

  • mmmm...I think i replied to the wrong video when i said that xD

  • lol, i was like wtf that doesnt make sense!!

  • Mmm...It doesnt xD Plus i dont think i really knew much about TEC back then :P

  • You do not know what your talking about.
