@Ossters There is a big difference in euthanizing an animal humanely so that it doesn't suffer and torturing and killing dogs in dog fighting. These dogs are truly victimized in dog fighting and unless there are people that can rehabilitate some of these dogs they get euthanized at some shelters. The point is to stop dog fighting as much as possible and get these monsters in jail and to stop breeding these dogs for dog fighting. They should be pets.

The victims of dog fighting should be given a chance at a life they deserved in the first place. The life of a domesticated dog and pet. The surviving dogs of Vick showed they can be rehabilitated to varying degrees and many can be and have been adopted and are family pets and all love people still even after the horrific abuse. They can be rehabilitated but it does take money and people but they are worth it. They deserve the chance and should be treated as individuals with different trauma

All the dogs were evaluated for their capacity for rehabilitation. 50-65% were placed with rehab groups across the country. There were over 400 dogs. There wasn't enough money and there weren't enough rehab groups to save every dog.
If you're angry, swear at the dogfighter who put rescue groups into that kind of horrible position, not the rescue groups.

I am more concerned with keeping them alive than I am with how they look to a breeder. They are getting persecuted and abused and dumped by people who just don't care. These dogs are truly victimized in dog fighting and unless there are people that can rehabilitate some of these dogs they get euthanized at some shelters. The point is to stop dog fighting as much as possible and get these monsters in jail and to stop breeding these dogs for dog fighting. They should be pets.

The victims of dog fighting should be given a chance at a life they deserved in the first place. The life of a domesticated dog and pet. The surviving dogs of Vick showed they can be rehabilitated to varying degrees and many can be and have been adopted and are family pets and all love people still even after the horrific abuse. They can be rehabilitated but it does take money and people but they are worth it. They deserve the chance and should be treated as individuals with different trauma

At least 3/4 of the articles I've read about pitbull attacks shows no sign of a traumatic upbringing. A perfect example is the death of Darla Napora.

Greg Napora found his wife mortally wounded when he walked into the couple's house on Reina Del Mar Avenue.
Authorities did learn from neighbors and friends that the Naporas treated their pitbull like it was A MEMBER OF THE FAMILY.
Greg Napora called the attack a freak occurrence and added that HIS WIFE WAS A DEVOTED PITBULL LOVER.

Unwanted animals are the fault of humans who breed them irresponsibly and don't commit to them. Also, there is a difference between humanely euthanizing an unwanted animal so that it doesn't suffer as opposed to dog fighting where the whole point of it is to make the dogs suffer and yelp and suffer and yelp and suffer and yelp and suffer and yelp and suffer and yelp before they die. All the dogs were evaluated for their capacity for rehabilitation. 50-65% were placed with rehab groups across the country. There were over 400 dogs. There wasn't enough money and there weren't enough rehab groups to save every dog.
If you're angry, swear at the dogfighter who put rescue groups into that kind of horrible position, not the rescue groups.
