when i try to mask my spartan i dont have the same curser tool that you have, i have a hand instead

Make sure you click on the pen/mask tool. It should be automatic when you checkmark the "mask" box though...

You need to duplicate the masked clip.

Put the masked clip on top

Male sure you have a positive mask

Oh and don't forget you need to delete the Mask on the bottom clip!!

hey man great post been looking for sumthing abit like this but i jus want to know how do u do it to a moving thing such as a basketball like i wanna make a basketball shine gold while its going into the basket can u plz tell me how?

You just move the film frame by frame and adjust the mask every frame.

Then you would put your gold flash thing on the masked layer you have.

It is basically this exact tutorial but in a different form.

You could get a picture of the frame you want to flash it on and then import it to Photoshop. Just use the pen tool to outline the spartan/elite, then stroke it with a brush.

Masks are generally created using the Pen Tool. What ever you outline with the pen will usually be solo. Or the only part showing.

You must have vegas pro to have the ability to mask. Although click event pan/crop. Located on your clip in the timeline. Then in the bottom left enable mask. :) hope this helps.
