I am all about Frida, you know, but I do believe it was just a notch too low even for Frida. She didn't have a choice in this case. I wonder if they had enough rehersal, if any, with the orchestra beforehand. Anyway, Frida, with her amazing voice pulled off again... as usual... as she'd always do in LIVE performances.

Frida lives in Switzerland now and does charity work. Bjorn, Benny And Agnetha still live in Sweden. They have not let all the money, money, money they''ve earned affect them. Bjorn & Benny are stll writing songs and Agnetha lives quietly on an isolated farm.

Probably it is lower or it could be the reverberations from the orchestra affecting the levels. They could get a pure sound at any level in the studio, but not in a live situation. They were never very fond of performing live because of that, as the fans expected to hear the overdubbed recorded quality.

Yes it would have been wonderful to see them perform live in the 70's. They weren't that keen on it themselves as they could not reproduce their wall-to-wall sound studio recordings that the fans know. But they were certainly capable musicians and singers and could produce very good versions live with differering arrangements, as in this case!

They were a great live band, I only wish I'd had the good sense to have seen them while they were touring the U.S. They were in Minneapolis in '79 and I was a senior in high school. I knew they were touring, but back then, you couldn't tell me anything. I knew it all!

We didn't get that chance Jim. Wembley 79 was sold out in hours, all concerts. They could have sold 50 concerts. The standard of their live performances has greatly exceeded my expectations Jim, when viewed for the first time in Tube vids.
