Where are you pulling your vacuum from? Do you have a schematic drawing of your setup? How do you keep from pulling Methanol into your vacuum pump?

When you allowed air into the system, does this remove your vacuum?

Yes, you need to meeter the air flow to maintain the proper vacuum on the system. I had a small valve to use but opted for the piece of tape instead ;-)
