This is just too ridiculous. Pikachu's THUNDER and freaking Meowth's THUNDERBOLT clash equally?!? Oh my God..

1. Pikachu is an electric pokémon, and meowth is not (STAB)

2. Pikachu has higher special attack.

3. It's fuckin THUNDER we're talking about, which is much stronger than thunderbolt.

@duckswtf 100% agree, since its the anime I let the Thunderbolt vs. Thunderbolt STAB thing slide since they were "evenly" matched

But when Meowth's Thunderbolt was on par with Pikachu's Thunder that was just uncalled for and in the very end I think the only reason that Pikachu fell before Meowth was because those boots supported Meowth's legs while Pikachu was closer to the ground on all 4's.

The beauty of Normal Types. People really look down on these Pokemon, which sucks. Normal Types could actually be considered the best of them all, considering that they could probably learn all 17 of the Type moves, and have only 1 weakness, and also 1 immunity. Meowth won simply because meowth's hardships drove it further to win and keep standing on one knee while pikachu just was completely drained of energy. This could also have come down to how the training methods of both Tyson and Ash differ. Ash always trains his pokemon with love more than real, pure training and always encourages his team no matter what which can be a bad thing at times. As with Tyson, you can see he is a real trainer that trains his pokemon the right way. That's why he won.

Also, when this happened, it was snowing, while the Conference takes place in a sunny period).

I'm guessgin dat Tyson lost to the ELite 4. I think that Grovile and COrphish went down too early. I've seen them take alot more punishment. ANd ASh celarly used more strategy in the full battle if any1 has seen it. ASh wood have done better
