I make mine with 1 oz each: Brandy, dark creme de cacau and cream served up in a stemmed cocktail glass. This isn't a drink that you want to have much more cream than spirits in. Equal parts works best in my experience.
I make it in a chilled cocktail glass.. 1oz brandy, 1/2oz creme de cacao, fill with milk OR half&half (about 1&1/2oz) shake then strain with nutmeg as a garnish then SERVE! :)
So far, I haven't been impressed with any of watchmojo's bartending vids. They seriously need to learn their drinks. This drink needs cream, not milk, and should NEVER be served on ice!!! Come on!
Brandy ALexander should be strained and served without ice. Who would want ice with all that milk? Imagine if it warmed up and started to water down. And I dont think it should be served in a snifter. She needs to use Half&Half or some cream instead of milk.
