  • I loved this man! I'm a muslim arab , but he inspired me into understanding things deeply and investigating the Quran even more and more. He made me know how powerful and profound Quran is. He made me thankful for being muslim and believing in Allah. I think I love Allah now more than ever!!! Than u Dr. Jeffrey

  • I love when ignorant Muslims play the wise men. The hadiths are fabricated. The Quran is the word of God and the word of Mohammed pbuh because it was conveyed through him. The sunnah is only to follow the Quran.

  • wow, this lecture will see not just out kids, but even there kids,

it will be even here 200 and more years from now

and the message will be the same!=)

    WHAT AA GREAT FEELIN'!!

  • When I look back in the past, most of muslim reverts are intelligent people, doctors, someone who understands both religions (Christianity and Islam), people that have rational thought, priests and priestess, and rabbis. Only the chosen one is invited to Islam by God himself.

  • If i bump into him, I would think that he is a typical white guy who had high discrimination to islam or the eastern people. But he had amaze and mesmerize me. After watching his videos, i happened to open the quran translation, think what he had said, which verse he had discussed on. I guess this video will give a lot of benefit for every muslims or maybe non muslims. It happened to be that you can also get the knowledge about religion even from these youtube video. All praise to Allah.

  • Alhamdulillah that even this average white guy looking man can read and understand Quran and give his understanding to others. We should not judge a person by their appearance. Some average white people try to dress mid-eastern, but as we can see here the most important message comes from reading Quran, not looks.

  • Yeah!I guess I watched too much tv. You know, it kinda show a white man in a different way. Never had i looked anything like this before. So it is an eye opener.

  • He had totally opens up my mind.Eventhough i'm a muslim, I only think that onle people with beards can only give this kind of preach. But he shows a very good example og reading, learning and understanding the quran and later taught everyone else about his finding. Even i am born muslim, i had never had the chance or should i say knowledge about quran from his point of view.If i don't know him and i bump into him at the street, i would say that he's typical white guy.

  • I agree with what you say about school...

But i cant possibly think cheating is ever right...

  • Its nice to have a person who portrays his religious identity through his personality as apposed to his looks (e.g. beard). We need more rational Muslims like Dr. Lang. People should be able to identify their muslim neighbors not by the way their dress, but by their friendly and generous characteristics.

  • I really like Jeffrey Lang for me you don't need a beard you don't need to wear arab clothing, because you can easily show piety on the outside but be completely different on the inside, when people ask me why i don't have a beard i say back that a beard doesn't make you a better Muslim, you can have a beard and still be a jerk, and you can be clean-shaven and be a great person but it can work either way.

  • @themuslimburro

but on the other hand..when you think it's something the prophet salla Allah 3alaih wa sallam.. have ordered

then i can pick another wajib thing and say .. i don't really have to do it.. im a good muslim in the inside side.. let's say..

drinking.. im drinking and im still a good muslim..

see..it's not about what we think.. since the prophet salla Allah 3alaih wa sallam ordered us to leave the beard ..then... that's what we should do..

  • @minute1981 well historical context must come into play, and why do you compare this to drinking? That is something we can all agree on, but the thing about the beard at the time they needed a way to distinguish themselves from the pagan Meccans, but still how do you know its so clear cut? They are diversity of opinions, in the Islamic Golden Age there was 130+ schools of thought,to let you know I'm not into that salafi stuff, I'm more of the rationalist school of thought to be honest with you.

  • @themuslimburro

    @faresalem

sir.. you can't say that.. you're not the prophet... aren't you?

He did ordered it, you have no say. Allah says.. obey the prophet salla Allah 3alaih wa sallam..

the sahaba.. kept the beard.. :) didn't they? the tabe3een, did so, too?

what you say about them having it as away to distinguish themselves from the pegan meccans??!! who told you the pegans, didn't have them? :) who, just who? Arabs DID keep the beard on.

    to be continued!

  • @minute1981 Of course I am not the prophet. Neither are you. I think we both have a right to express our views and we both have a say. The sahaba used to express their views openly to the prophet (pbuh). I agree that many pegans did have beards as well, which suggests that it is not an Islamic ritual but a cultural norm for 6th century Arabia. I agree that Muslims should obey the prophet, but certain rituals have relative historical meanings. Many thanks for your comment.

  • @faresalem lol... when the prophet say do something .... it's DO it.. it's not up to you ..to play with it.. anyways.. fine ..i can't force you and you know that very well.. :)you're welcome ..and i thank you too..

  • @themuslimburro

also it's because AGainst the fitrah, check out this hadeeth

'Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said that, 'There are ten things that are natural. To cut the moustache and lengthening the beard (are from amongst the ten things. I know it was the habit of the people of the prophet Lut, peace be upon him, check out this also.

  • @themuslimburro

    And, last but not least

The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said that, 'Because of ten evil actions the people of Prophet Lut, (upon whom be peace) where destroyed. One of which was sodemy, the other drinking alcohol, shaving the beards and growing the moustache.'

  • @minute1981 You know this going to go on and on and on, I don't want to fight, only God has absolute knowledge of what is right or wrong, if you claim what's absolutely right and wrong that means your putting yourself besides God and therefore commiting shirk, the Koran cannot speak for itself it is people who implement it even though they are not perfect, they are plenty of arguments by Muslim scholars that say the beard is not mandatory, so its not clear-cut,you go your way and I go mine

  • @themuslimburro

    :) That's another way of saying, I can't fight back. :)

Well, keep shaving them, it's up to you.

  • @themuslimburro

btw, Good luck listening to scholars and not your prophet. just you're gonna be asked about it, believe it, brother. And I know you think it's ugly, because the west says so. Lol Good day to you

  • Are you saying Muslims should get rid of their Islamically-taught looks and just have moralities? I think if one is a good Muslim and believes in the teachings of our prophet (Peace be upon him), it should reflect on his outer looks. I would add the word "only" in your last sentence right after "not" .. would make it better, no?

  • @faresalem why NOT by their dress ? Part of being muslim is also the dress code !

  • @faresalem the man is great but also the beard is important everything in Islam of a great wisdom if you gave it a thought. :)

  • @faresalem Here is what I think about your comment. If looks really didn't matter to you then you'd not be commenting on it in the first place. I imagine you would believe he was emphasizing the looks if the exact same words came out from the mouth of a person who had a beard and was dressed differently. I believe the problem is in you and not the other guy be it a bearded one dressed differently or not.

  • @bravo45 Dear brother. Looks do matter me, which is why I am commenting on it. I am only expressing my disagreement with the excessive emphasis on looks. I believe Islam should be based on behavior that transcends appearence (i.e. wizdom, charity, kindness etc). In the end, its not what a person looks like that matters. I believe in the substance of what people say. The problem I see is that many converts emphasize appearence. Muslims should dress modestly, that is the only rule regarding looks.

  • @faresalem And right there my brother lies the problem. Those you hate, the ones who emphasis looks of a specific culture may be just as wrong as you claim, but then you too are a part of them by being the one to whom to matters. Like I said, I think you would have a problem with this guy if he was saying exactly the same thing but had a different look. I say why should it matter?? It shouldn't matter and thus shouldn't even be commented on.

  • @bravo45 Why would his words mean any less to you only because he had a beard?? There lies the problem in my opinion and that is where I am trying to point you to.

  • @faresalem ..i Think what you are trying to say is good..but please don't.. try to by any way , form or shape.. deny a Sunnah..keeping beard is Sunnah of our beloved RasooluLLah...

  • poor audio quality please upload the good quality one thanks

  • Jeffrey Lang I.Q = >150 (Genius!!)

He's smart man.. May Allah bless Him..

  • lol soo much for my 136...

  • I pray to God that all humans will "get it" like this man has got it, but all humans aren't as smart as this man. Even I am not as smart but I thank God he (Allah) showed me to Islam. Allah Akbar.

  • thats the beauty of islam that it doesnt need ppl to b this smart for them to get it. Our innate nature helps us find our way. but obviously it helps to be smart :P if u wanna really "get it".

  • The problem is all of the forces pushing for humans to stay ignorant... The mass media, the mainstream capitalist system, even the concept of "the cool" all ensure that the majority/ mainstream portion of humanity stay ignorant...

  • @asalamalikoom I agree with you almost completely. However I do not believe a person needs to be smart to get it right with religion. He/she simply needs to be wise. There are many fundamentalists who are very intelligent, but not very rational unfortunately. Likewise, there are many simple people, who have their religious convictions that are wise and healthy. Keep the comments coming. Many thanks.

  • @faresalem callin yourself wise ..and me UN because i don't agree with you ..

    that's wise .. lol

  • Very nice, I am currently reading his book, "even angels ask". Very good book

  • nice and interesting video.thanks
