ok i love mariinsky but the girl in the very begging who does sylvie guillem's solo did not get it at all shame but ekaterina who does the duet right after snapped
The female soloist at the beginning is Viktoria Tereshkina. The male soloist at the end is Mikhail Lobukhin. The red-headed, long-legged female doing the pas de deux is Katya Kondaurova.
Music is by Thom Willems, Forsythe's long-time collaborator. Song is same name as the piece, "In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated." Two CDs of Willems' music are available, "The Loss of Small Detail," and "Enemy in the Figure." This piece is on the "Loss" CD. They both should still be available at Amazon France.
I saw it by the Ballet of Flanders also : a fiasco.
Created by Forsythe with Sylvie Guillem, never seen anyone approch Guillem's ability. This solo is good but not perfect (and in addition, it has been changed because Guillem's is much more impressive). Forsythe deserves perfection.
Always a pleasure to watch anyway (and the music, exceptionnal)
did you record this yourself? If so u cut out on of the good male solo's, why would you do such a thing. lol. I say this cast in covent garden....Phenominal

Does anyone know who the male soloist at the end is? It looks like Andrei Merkuriev to me (but to be honest, I'm only going by the hair).
