i saw them performing live at vic's in chicago in 91'or 92' - everybody was mesmerized with aura of magic and mystery, they ripped the crowd apart with their glowing music and poetry and created great energy field never to be forgot

i "discovered" them in the 80s in school...thanks to my friend who was an australian exchange student lol! she also introduced me to clannad and enya ! i used to think i was the only american who knew and loved this type of music;-)

i saw them live in 1993... grew up with the cocteau twins and dcd (4ad)... truly a musicians' band... watching lisa sing and hammer away on the dulcimer was breathtaking.  I saw the cocteau twins in 85 / 91 / 94. The 91 show was amazing to watch Robin play these huge chords that on the sustainer system.

am only now "discovering" DCD - wow! incredible vocals and arrangements. Avatar and Bird are especially addictive. Her vocals in Avatar sound like Edith Piaf -- Mme. Piaf would be flattered and enjoy DCD as much as I do, I'm sure ;-)
