I completely leave this world, forget about reality, hallucinate OEV/CEVs while the music takes me away, I'm not moving and I'm not talking, IMO this kind of stuff ruins the entire spiritual/psychedelic aspect of DXM. My advice is not to take it more than once a month, this way the magic may keep going on.

Low doses produce a mild stoned feeling, moderate doses produce an alcohol-like buzz with trippy overtones, and a high dose produces a state I could best describe as a psychedelic/depressant type experience. Something like taking some LSD after drinking a few beers would be the nearest analogy I can think of at the moment. Though DXM's hallucinogenic effects do somewhat differ from LSD's.
Guys, dont do DXM. In all seriousness it fucks with your heart. If you want "The Experience" take two hits of acid. Not one, but two. And please stay away from otc drugs because they wreak havock on your organs.
i am not sure where you got the heart thing, but it isn't a good idea to overdo it or do it too often. Tbh though, bit of a simplification there with OTCs, and if you're only getting dxm, keeping it as an occasional thing (as with any reasonably strong hallucinogen) and not taking fully dissociative doses (there are other things for that if it's your bag...), then there's nothing horribly wrong with dxm... Thats strange, because I myself am quite familiar with the literature and have never heard of any serious adverse cardiovascular effects at average recreational dosages. Maybe in massive overdose, of course, but not at any common dosage. Perhaps you could cite a reliable source? When you say OTC's fuck with your organs, you're probably thinking of acetaminophen (tylenol). It is toxic to the liver but anything without it should be ok.

It is fairly common knowledge that drinking a shit ton of cough medicine is bad for someones liver and that doing DXM shapes your brain in a certain way (the whole "brain damage" idea). I have had a fair enough experience with DXM along with other hallucinogenics to realize how it changes your thinking of the world.
I remember one time I dosed heavily, and my friend drove my car (with broken cv axle and all) all the way 20 miles to downtown, and we went to a city park along the river, this was about 2 am, and we saw this dude laying out a black robe on a park bench. crazy illuminati shit.

When I'm on the 3rd Plateau, I sit still on my bed for about 4/5 hours, the OOBE is incredibly intense, anesthesia... I completely leave this world, forget about reality, hallucinate OEV/CEVs while the music takes me away, I'm not moving and I'm not talking, IMO this kind of stuff ruins the entire spiritual/psychedelic aspect of DXM. My advice is not to take it more than once a month, this way the magic may keep going on.

@neonskittles101 The guy in this vid took WAY too much. It is very pleasant when used correctly. Low doses produce a mild stoned feeling, moderate doses produce an alcohol-like buzz with trippy overtones, and a high dose produces a state I could best describe as a psychedelic/depressant type experience. Something like taking some LSD after drinking a few beers would be the nearest analogy I can think of at the moment. Though DXM's hallucinogenic effects do somewhat differ from LSD's.

i am not sure where you got the heart thing, but it isn't a good idea to overdo it or do it too often. Tbh though, bit of a simplification there with OTCs, and if you're only getting dxm, keeping it as an occasional thing (as with any reasonably strong hallucinogen) and not taking fully dissociative doses (there are other things for that if it's your bag...), then there's nothing horribly wrong with dxm... Also acid and dxm are quite qualitatively different, sorry, had to rant xD

Thats strange, because I myself am quite familiar with the literature and have never heard of any serious adverse cardiovascular effects at average recreational dosages. Maybe in massive overdose, of course, but not at any common dosage. Perhaps you could cite a reliable source? When you say OTC's fuck with your organs, you're probably thinking of acetaminophen (tylenol). It is toxic to the liver but anything without it should be ok.

@Diphenhydramine94 To my knowledge, the so called "abuse" of OTC cough medicines is relatively new, long term effects on one self are not fully understood (in my opinion). It is fairly common knowledge that drinking a shit ton of cough medicine is bad for someones liver and that doing DXM shapes your brain in a certain way (the whole "brain damage" idea). I have had a fair enough experience with DXM along with other hallucinogenics to realize how it changes your thinking of the world.

DXM rulez,he didnt took much if he still can walk...lol...if he took like 200mg of DXM he would have troubles with walking.DXM is a typical substance to be used at home,chillin no your bed etc,etc...definitely not for dumb kids.id say for experienced trippers,to look inside your soul:)
