I notice that a lot of newer "horrorpunk" bands are compared to the misfits despite the use of a double bass. If you go to a show where the words psychobilly and/or horrorpunk are used there is a specific attitude and uniform that's kind of expectation. You can't expect for someone like the misfits to come along without starting a movement that everyone wants to be a part of. I'm just happy this music merely exists.
I'm trying to promote my band Vulture as much as possible, Would you all take a listen, sub or comment? DOWNLOAD our music for FREE and Spread the word about vulture.
@junkyturd Unfortunatly that happens with a lot of music. Hell, look at *cough* pop *cough* these days. Clones. Same with country and a lot of rock. You just have to dig around until you find something unique. I'd recommend Metropolis Records And FiXT Records for new stuff =)
i was at a festival and they just finished playing and i nodiced he was standing next to me and i thougt to my self wtf he wanted me to take a picture with his cam
wtf guys???!!! come on its just music.... if someone doesnt like this kind of music then dont listen to it.... simple as that no need to argue about the genres.... thats y there r so many anyway so people can find their style. Personally i like hardcore music (terror, madball ect.) but i also starting to like this kind of music because it makes me wanna take my girl and have fun (something u cant do with the other genre i like cause its clearly aggresive music that makes me wanna fight). peace!!
I love this stupid genre, Idk why. But the fucking style and shit is ridiculous, come on. It's like one day goths got mad and tried to make a new goth fad.
you are all stupid children.."my mohawk was 3 times bigger" "no one uses double bass except psychobilly".... um except hair gets cut all the time and grows back. some people like theirs shorter.. and double bass is used in Grindcore, death metal, and hardcore much more than psycho... dumbasses!
@impaledbyvlad DOUBLE BASS = CONTRABASS, not double bass drums. If you can name at least one death metal band that uses one as a BASS instrument (with plucked strings), I'd be honestly happy to know. Even weirdos like Pan.Thy.Monium didn't do that...
Care to open a dictionary before posting and calling everyone "stupid kids" and "dumbasses ?"
@impaledbyvlad ....by double bass are you talking about double bass drumming? because i dont think i've ever seen a death metal band with a double bass...aka upright bass...
Although zombie ghost train is good, I think Rezurex is better, but thats just my opinion, and you know what they say about opinions, there like assholes, everyone has one and they all stink.
@Bullet4EveryOne If you read the first line, it says I have heard....my friend is a hair sylist who knows how to do these things and does them very well.
My hair is a quiff so I don't put my hair up like a mow hawk. Everyone has a different of way of doing things find the way that suits you and go from there. (Everyone is different is my point)
I chose not to have a mohawk as I prefer the Rockabilly and not punk style of hair.
ahh, sry, didn't know that, just thought that wax stuff kinda sucked when i tried it. I just used hairspray, not that much actually, its more important to keep a little distance to the hair while spraying...
@Aerodeadd We used to use Knox gelatin. Mind that's back when my hair grew. Watch getting in cars and doorways. Oh yeah, and watch scaring peoples dogs you may get bit, I ain't kidding.
i used to have a mohawk about at least 3 times the size of his and as long as ur not a vegatarian i used geletine. before it was that big though i used relly cheap extra strong hold hairspray and a hairdryer
wow u went through all of that?........thats bad ass....i just had liberty spikes when i was younger...id say a good 7 inches haha...but i used rave 4x aqua net never did it for me
hey how long dose it take you to get it to stay up on its own once you put the jell on or what ever you use that glue crap, cuz i am looking into a mohawk but i dont want to take for ever to get it up
depends how long it is, mines about 6 inches and can take any ware from 15 min to a hour and a half....depends on if my hair wants to cooperate. i use got2Bglued freez spray and aqua net and it stays up for 3-4 days if you dont fuck it up
tried soap many a time, also quite heavy (I have wicked thick hair, soap or hairspray works for thin hair but thick hair :( nope) I found this crap I'm gonna try as soon as I can order it, it sounds like it'll work it's made to do flat tops like that and they say it's for "super thick hair" so... crossing my fingers
how the hell do you get a flat-top or mohawk to stand up so perfectly straight? I've been trying to figure it out for months now and I just can't get it to stand that straight and there are no other punks in my town to ask so if any one can help please enlighten me
well I know how to straighten, so the wedge, getting it to stand up is what puzzles me, gel is too heavy, hairspray doesn't have enough hold, I'm currently thinking soap but I have a feeling I'm wrong.
so I'm a die hard Tiger Army fan, I'm also a fan of Mad Sin and Rezurex and Nekromantix, and Koffin Kats and the Reverend Horton Heat, Tiger Army was just the first of them that I got into and holds a special place in my heart for helping me find the music I relate to most, so what's your point? you have none
Fair enough. A friend of mine did something crazy once, and I *think* he said he used Crisco for it...not sure where you are in the world or if you have a similar product, but I've never tried it. I've also heard people talk of things like cocoa butter, but again, never tried it myself. If you do find out, let me know!

When you get your hair cut next time, do what I do.
Get it thin'd out a bit.
And it makes it easier for the pompadour or whatever style.
And just either Murrays or Dax.
There are some Murrays that are not so heavy and some that are uber heavy.
Keep Rockin' friends! :)
